300k would be fine. I reckon he would be on over 400k thou. He signed quick and Dolphins are desperate.
Unless your off contract at Parramatta no one else wants to go to Redcliffe.

I thought they would have signed more players then now especially with Bennett. It seems most players are just milking them for more cash at current clubs.

If we can have Canberra paying half his wages in 2022 I'd be looking at having Hodgson now and boning Mahoney to the Dogs immediately.

I just can't stand the little turncoat and don't want him polluting our new fantastic looking jersey and his bullshit passion for our club.

Just f**k off.

Starlings court case is probably the issue. I reckon Hodgson would have been a tiger a month ago if starling wasn't facing charges.

Canberra didnt want to lose him for 2022 if starling is stood down from the nrl. Otherwise he probably would have been a tiger

The fact we now have an old man as our hooker untill the end of 2025 suggest we do not rate Hands or Schneider highly.
Not necessarily. Could be a great opportunity to learn the trade from a very skilfull, crafty, smart footy player.
Hodgson on his day is as good as any hooker. For a lot or players who undergo a knee reco it takes 12+ months to start getting back to full pace and strength.
It may well workout to be a master-stroke mentoring the 3 or 4 hooking prospects in the pipeline.

I think what you're saying is that you don't like him and don't want him at our club?
I actually agree because with Hodgson and Rein that would be great. Only proviso is the dogs don't get Mahoney early but he spends time mowing lawns and painting seats at Ringrose Park

I just dislike these signings. They come off that's great but unlike guys in mid 20s there is potential that there not up to NRL level and a complete bust. Its not like paying overs for a guy who doesnt play as good as hoped but still offers something st NRL level. The possibility is you've got two guys on top 13 coin who are now NSW cup level but won't be dropped due to price tag. Or are dropped and your caps blown.

With respect, we have Ennis and Woolford on board now plus our 9 year coach in BA. Do we really need another guy to teach the younguns how to play 9. If he has been signed for that role then wtf is going on Soto?

No substitute having someone deliver on field than coaching...
