You can't replace merkins who are already on the books. They are part of your top 30.
Who did we replace Opacic with?

Lane, Matterson and RusselPou our first 8 loses What merkins were missing to make us not able to win those games?
Lane, Matterson and Russel
Its sort of funny Opacic was more reliable then people gave him credit for. The consensus was when he announced he was leaving was he wasn't going to be a great loss.Who did we replace Opacic with?
They were gaps in the roster. We had the roster slots and cap space, so they were not players we could call on for first grade. You can count players not even at the club......... Nice try
He's not excluded, he is in the top 30. You don't get to just remove him because he's injured ffsFirst 8 losses no excuse with injuries or suspension.
Dunster blew his knee preseason in 2022 so excluded.
He is in the top 30 because of his potential. He was carving up in reserve grade last year but has missed a lot of games injured this year.Loiuzou played 1 game in 2021 should not be in the top 30.

The Storm have a bloke in their top 30 - Jack Howarth - who has never played a single game in the NRL, and he is signed though until 2027: https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/01/01...ews-details-contracts-signings-updates/#Storm
Robert Toia is in the Roosters top 30 until the end of 2025 and he's also never played first grade: https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/01/01...-details-contracts-signings-updates/#Roosters
It's fairly common. There would be plenty of clubs with a big young outside back in their top 30. It's either that or use a top 30 spot on Lumelume or Gildart. At least the 20 year old is likely to improve. For you to criticise this strategy shows your ignorance. The club might not know best, but they sure as shit know better than us.
Our chance of winning was lower without them.So we couldn't win because they were missing?

Just think i might remind myself our full strength team got flogged to the team coming last that day 34-4.By comparison, these merkins were missing for our ten losses last year:
Round 14 (Dogs): Dunster, Stone
Our chance of winning was lower without them.

He wasn't explosive or a game breaker but was solid and did a good enough job.
Sivo's defensive decisions were a lot better when Opacic was inside him then most centres he has been next to.
It's not like we were breaking the bank to keep him.
He's played centre in first grade, four times before coming to our club. Educate yourself: https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/players/daejarn-asi/summary.htmlHas he played centre at all in NSW cup?

But I don't think Asi replaced Opacic, he replaced Perham. Loizou replaced Opacic after being on the development list last year.
Loizou was excellent in reserve grade last year. Nobody knew he was going to miss most of 2023 with injury. Luckily he was only signed for one year so it's no big deal.Robert Toia is coming back from an injury and is 18 and will be playing first grade in 24 your an idiot comparing him to Sam.
Solid performer: https://www.nswrl.com.au/players/nsw-cup/parramatta-eels-nsw-cup/samuel-loizou/Sam was carving up in what where time for bed I think...
You can win at full strength and lose with half your team out. The point is that, over a big enough sample, your win rate will be better at full strength. So because we have some players missing we just count them as a loss ffs some people in here are simps...
After that post I looked through the squad succession thread and went back and edited if from Asi to Loizou, but after you had quoted it. Go back and have a look.So you told me Asi replaced Opa but he actually didn't why does anyone bother when you make yourself look foolish?
Yep, played his first three games at centre: https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/...tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLS0tLQ==And Yes I know Asi played centre prior to coming to us I thought it was clear when I said has he played centre in NSW cup that it was for us.
