Ah was about to say something about Gus. Still can’t believe that he picked TPJ this year. You can’t tell me it wasn’t cos Gus told him to do it. My guess it to make him desirable so they can move him on to another club. Didn’t work so nek minute golden handshake and he’s a boxer.

More than likely Gus was using being selected for the blues as a way to get players to his club and extra 50k per game is pretty good on top of your contract..

After that he was a defensive liability. He lost confidence and lost interest, and was lost to the game. Don’t forget we didn’t sign him because no club wanted him. Souths wanted to keep him, and Bennett rated him highly.

I think it increased when you tried to convince everyone that wing was an acceptable position for him. Sure his strengths suit it but there are non-negotiables at every position and his weaknesses meant he isn’t a winger at any competitive level.
