I would say feminism has contributed to inequality though. It has benefited some (many of them already very powerful) at the expense of others (many of them already downtrodden).

Think of the couple on extremely high incomes, and their economic dominance over other members of society. This sort of pairing contributes heavily to the housing affordability crisis. It was very rare before feminism.

He's gone from being a Papalii equivalent/ project player to carrying the bottles and bags for reserve grade. Astute signing
Papali'i equivalent? Papali'i had played 63 games by the age of 22 when we signed him. That's an indicator of high potential. Momoisea had played 8 games by the age of 24. He was on the scrapheap. There is no comparison with the expectations on those two. Papali'i was always a high potential player and Momoisea was always a cheap backup.

Even Tuilagi isn't in the Papali'i class for potential, but he has much more potential than Momoisea was predicted to have when we signed him. Tuilagi has 44 games under his belt (aged 24) while Momoisea was also 24 but had fewer than a fifth as many games.

Tuilagi (and Papali'i when he signed) would be on top 17 money. Momoisea would be on about minimum salary.

You never described him as a cheap back up and on the scrapheap when we first signed him. You deep throated him like many shit signings BA has made. Now that you realise you made a stupid call you are trying to back track.

Typical Pou.

PS - Go f**k yourself.

Does this translate into 'Merry Christmas, Pou'?

We were hoping for Fuifui Moimoisea but instead got Jake Mamosea
This post from a couple of weeks after we announced the signing. That's all. Who talks up a 24 year old with 8 NRL games? It'd be like if Dunster was playing elsewhere and we just signed him. Except Dunster has more than twice as many NRL games as Moimosea at the same age. Nobody's excited about these backup signings. They are squad fillers.

Even if Mummamoasia is being paid as a cheap back up he's still being overpayed, and him being in the top 30 is hurting us from sneaking someone else into the top 30. Probably the worst player i've seen in an Eels jersey, maybe he just needs to get Parrafit???

Yep cheap or not taking a top 30 spot and not playing for the last 2 years is an expensive deal..

Yes just a limit to the level of stupidity and ignorance I can tolerate. This level has been breached.
The politics should be moved to the appropriate thread where It can be ignored. Im here for footy talk.
A bit of super-friendly advice (totally unsolicited and apologies if unwanted):
Don't feed the troll.

It is unclear if Pou believes what he posts, and less clear whether he even understands what he is saying. He just loves to argue. If he hasn't yet figured out how to make chatGPT reply to anyone who quotes him with a counter-point (no matter how circular), he soon will.

He may well have something significant to contribute to football related discussion, but we may never find out if people keep facilitating his penchant for circular arguments.
