Rumours and Stuff

No, this is your claim. It is unrelated to my point that our risk averse board reduced spending in response to Covid rather than just inherently being tight arses.
So you don't pay any attention whatsoever to what other people were talking about before you make your narrow "points" defined by selective stats. Right, gotcha...
Again, if you’re going to push your agenda you need to keep it relevant and at least make an attempt to support it with evidence.
I have no agenda to push... other than "#trollwatch", when I feel like a bit of sport with someone whose all too regular (but empty) forum contributions clearly display adequacy issues.

I am not sure, but I think the NRL actually pays each club for the amount spent on player contracts. Therefore I don't think PLC and PNRL revenue during and post-Covid would have had a bearing on how we managed the cap.

But then again, maybe some know more than me on this matter.

We're talking about expenses, literally the amount spent on 'football related expenses'. It dropped in 2017 then increased until 2019, nearly halved in 2020 (Covid) then gradually rose until 2023, the latest year for which we have data:

2016: $9.1M
2017: $6.3M
2018: $8.3M
2019: $10.0M
2020: $5.9M
2021: $7.5M
2022: $11.8M
2023: $12.5M

f**king "net is not gross" you absolute clown. You're not good at anything, including bullshitting.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Interesting you resort to personal insults...

I've offered to help you with this in the past. I believe the only caveat is that you have to ask nicely.
It comes across as you just trolling and not being interested in learning anything

They have the second best defence in the comp ffs. You can't pick and choose 10 minute periods and say we should have scored because even the highest try scoring team (the Roosters) only average about five tries in eighty minutes. But more importantly, the Bulldogs are only conceding 2.6 tries per eighty minutes. That means there is an average of more than five 10 minute periods per game where the opposition doesn't score. But somehow we should have scored in that one period just because they were a man down? We didn't complete our sets precisely because we were trying to score when we didn't need to.

More than any other, we are a team that needs to complete our sets. Because we have a lot of attacking ability and too many defensive plodders.

The high completions meant we were staying patient and not trying to score when we didn't need to. We pulled them into the grind and made them work, which is what we should've done on Monday. Instead we let their fast defence panic us into error while we were in front on the scoreboard. We should've just held the ball, let them swarm us, and gotten to our kick.
If you go back and check every single game they’ve won this season there’s only one team they’ve beaten where they had less possession than the opposition team. That was us last week. So if you go off that trend then if the Bulldogs have less possession, complete at 67% and have a man sent to the sin bin then it’s a game they had no right to win. You don’t just get to handwave those factors away and say but they have the second best defence! Maybe if it was a game of equal possession and completion then you could make a case for that being the differentiating factor but that’s not what happened. If you’re going to concede that we were trying to score on every play when we didn’t need to and that’s why we lost then that’s a concession that our attack wasn’t good enough.
