Rumours and Stuff

While not claiming he is a speedster….he doesn’t look to slow here in support

or here pushing across (3.20 min mark)

Or to slow to make a split second decision with a defencing push up (4.15 and 5.35 )

Or to slow to take advantage of no fullback (4.44)

JA needs a lot of improvement to be a permanent NRL half (but is still very young) but his aren’t that slow (it’s his body shape that makes it seem so). And he has enough speed as a half to take advantage of opportunities.
I reckon JA needs another 10-15 years before he would be ready for first grade. By then he hopefully retires.

JAs issue is he is slow in movement and actions not how fast he can run.
Everything he does is in slow motion. He looks hesitant. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing. He thinks before he acts. The more he plays and reads the game he will be able to read the defense or even make a high percentage guess what they will do and execute faster.
Last thing you want is a carefree halfback who acts only on instinct and turns ball over.

I'm unsure how he will turn out. I feel like he reads the game better then Dylan tho at the same age and also executes his passing better. Dylan was just athletically gifted. And why he was on half a mill by the time he was 20 vs maybe 150k. D.Brown didn't step up u till 2022. He had about 3 full seasons of NRL under his belt.

Drown’s run game and defence were so good we could afford to let him find his feet in first grade.

They are not even on Trust Pilot

Or Product Review AU.

Avoid
Doesn't look legit to me, they are selling 2023 jersey more than40% below wholesale price. Also no contact number or physical address, then look at the shipping 10-21 days, tells me they are ordering on fake_jerseys when you order and shipping direct to you and they are making about $30 jersey but they are chinese knock offs.
Buy at own risk

Maybe JA has inherited his dad's footy brain, which exceeded his dad's footy ability?

Brad became a captain coach at Bateman's Bay age 22 - so maybe Jake is being groomed to take over when Rankin retires as captain coach of our reggies?

I for one don't see him moving to the forwards and am stumped people suggest it. Forwards need to be big and strong powerful men.Tough and aggressive. Just cause Matterson did? Matto was a large unit and powerfull.
JA is tall and will fill out more but he is lanky and just isn't a forward in any way at all. It would be like suggesting Turbo should move to 2nd row. Similar body shape.

I suppose the difference is that Turbo is in his late 20's, whereas Jake is 19. Plenty of time to condition his body to play in the forwards.

What position did Brad play?
Halves for a year, then second row/back row for the rest apparently

I remember him as being a fixture in the 13 jersey in our Presidents Cup team.

Contingency planning is a thing. If you end up with $1m half for 4 years, then shirley that’s not a bad thing.
