Where was these speed testing machines made? My guess is they come from GO LOW or Ronnies

They souped up an amp modded by a little known western suburbs enthusiast and plugged in a Russian valve driven radar.

I'm guessin' when they measured the King they had to turn it up to eleven and the reading is in decibels.

so you're saying the Sydney Roosters with all their resources, would not get a franchise now ?

sorry, I can't see that at all, neither could uncle Nick imo

No they wouldn't unless they were to encompass all of Souths area too. There would not be a need for two franchised in the eastern and south eastern suburbs. It would just be one big franchise over the whole area.

So he can run fast but he just normally chooses not to?
There was reserve grade footage floating about that showed him scoring length of the field tries looking like a speed demon. I often wondered if he has hamstring problems as he would often look like he was tightening up when he made a break after we got him.
It’s a top speed comparison. Unfortunately in rugba leeg, how fast you are at the 100m mark is kinda useless

Yes. There are a number of other variables needed to make this data useful such as acceleration and how long top speed can be sustained but non the less it tells us he can run at speed when he chooses to.

Politis would get the franchise over Crowe. The main thing the NRL cares about is sustainability, which means funding.

There’s no way PVL says no to a Hollywood star, even if he had to choose between him and Politis.

Crowe creates headlines and draws attention to the NRL. Politis is rarely heard or seen. Crowe is more PVL’s style.
And most of Politis’s best work is done on the golf course anyway.

Knights sign exciting young talent

The Knights have poached one of Parramatta's best young talents in hooker Jacob Davis.

Davis, 20, started last season in the Flegg Cup but within several months was playing against grown men in the NSW Cup and holding his own.

The youngster has signed a one-year development contract but it wouldn't surprise to see him in the Knights' top 30 12 months from now.

The Eels were keen to retain Davis but have several up-and-coming hookers in their ranks and knew they would have to let at least one go elsewhere in search of opportunity and when Newcastle approached Davis, they didn't stand in his way.
