Or he just finds another club to sign with.
Im sure there would be at least one who would be happy to take him for three years.
Do you have a source showing clubs that might be interested?

Well then we make him a 2 year offer he can’t refuse!Or he just finds another club to sign with.

From what I'm reading and fact finding thus far it's not making my juices flow.Maybe he will thrive here but he is not worth his current $650k contract. Why would he move away from the beaches for a paycut unless he gets 3 years?
That’s cause you’re oldFrom what I'm reading and fact finding thus far it's not making my juices flow.
If the Knights chip in a substantial amount then our risk is mitigated. My point was why would he move for a substantial paycut while he still has a 650k contract for 2025. The Knights are now pretending they want to keep him via the media. Let's see who is the smarter club. They have Peter Osullivan now so I'm guessing it's them.Think harder about it.
1. If he has a contract, then he can't move unless.....
2. His current club think he isn't worth the contract and....
3. They are willing to chip in/ organise a buyout/ whatever in order to move him along.
Given that Newcastle have given him the green light to move (or he backs up Crossland/ plays reserves)
Given that his contract is up in 2025
Given that he is 28
Given that the salary cap increases every year
Given that Parra has a starting hooker job
A 2 year deal with the Eels for (say) 350-400k per year (with the Knights paying 200k for him to leave - frees up 400k for them) gives him a chance to improve his value the next 2 years (as a starting hooker) and then sign one last contract under a higher salary cap.
I've been on the fence with this one. If he's approved to play by the NRL and the price is right then I'm willing to support a two year deal. He's still got plenty to offer as a winger and we need what he has to offer. But, considering his past indiscretions I'd expect some sort of 'don't f**k this up' clause in the contract.Still trying to convince everyone he is unsure how it got in his system as well as the four game ban. Not a big fan. He is quick but has had trouble where ever he has been. Settles down and plays well and then gets injured - Bulldogs were trying to move him on at the end of 2022 and 2023 at one point too. He had issues in Melbourne as well.
I hope the club has gone cold to be fair - we have recruited some speed and have some young blokes returning with speed.
Need another backline utility player and a hooker before JAC.
I prefer the term 'erudite person'.That’s cause you’re old
Bring back the spearfisher, but replace the eel with BA’s bald mug and the dude with Ryles.I thought 2000-2003 was better then 2004-2010.
Anyway what we have now should stay forever I don't care what marketing plan or strategy they think could come up with in the future.
Just leave it.

To be fair, if the roosters had this mentality they’d have never signed Squid Game. It’s what the smart clubs do.
You don’t want JAC but you want Cheese who is just as much of a dickhead?Don’t want JAC
Papenhuyzen Mulitalo and Brandon smith should be our main targets
We might only need him for two years but he is 29 next year. Nobody wants to be on the market after turning 30 so he will treat this as his last big contract. Our need for one or two years must be balanced against his need for five (or more) years. Even a five year contract would see him only 33 at the end of it, and probably on the scrapheap. I'm sure he would be willing to forego some money per-year to get extra years of certainty in even a three year deal.Let's give a player with an extensive injury history a three year deal and a PO....
Smart stuff
I think we can handle two new dickheads in our team. Spread the talent. You don’t want JAC but you want Cheese who is just as much of a dickhead?
We already have some big money players in the squad, especially in the spine. They can't all be stars.I'm not on the Brailey train thus far. Nobody on here is excited about the possibility of him becoming an Eel. Another example of shopping at Blacktown Drive-In Sunday Markets.
Dragons are moving quick to wanting to medically retire GuthoSHOOSH III
Which club is trying to medically retire a player – with just one big catch … the player wants to play on
Personally, I'd rather chase the Cheese. I can feel it in my man cave.We might only need him for two years but he is 29 next year. How many 'stars' do we actually have? Moses is one. Dylbags and Lomax are others. It's quite the sample size.We already have some big money players in the squad, especially in the spine. They can't all be stars.
