Nah he goes alright. To be fair they haven't chucked him in the deep end and he's learning off one of the sneakiest merkins around. They needed someone young and impressionable there, Liddle was too good to hang around waiting for Api to retire.
*old

Liddle is quick and good running DH but terrible passing game. TDS > Liddle now.

TDS is still a young kid has a long way to go and a lot of development to do in his game and physically (physically he has really come on this year), but he has not been brought through too soon. He is undertaking the perfect development path apprenticeship at the moment, learning form the best in the game atm and playing in short 20min bursts where he gets to develop his game (particularly in defence). It genuinely is the best opportunity for him but like a lot of these young kids, they dont want to develop they want it all now and is supposedly telling the club he wants 80mins.

Where it might be correct that he has been brought through too soon is that by him and his mate Lachie getting the big star bright light treatment so soon, they become impatient and want that top tier billing more quickly.

If Latu wasnt injured, Galvin wouldnt have got his debut last year.

So maybe just maybe that's how the club wants to go with the junior development. Coinakis may not play first grade till he is 21.
Not just get rushed through and then f**k off...

What Galvin would not have played at all last year .

BTW Da Silva might be a good player I have my Doubts. Passing is shit which you think being a hooker is their main purpose.

Certainly a reasonable and more typical pathway. Tigers situation was a bit different in that we have had to put more stock in our kids. Also a great opportunity with Api for TDS. I dare say its a totally different circumstance if TDS is behind Liddle or Jake Simpkin.

Possibly not. The Tigers were all in on Latu to play with Sezer in the preseason but he was injured. Galvin was put in and killed it in his debut and most of the season. Latu hasnt had his chance yet but is only 20yo.

His passing has improved a lot this year and IMO is typically excellent but you can depend on 2 bad passes a game. He is a very good player and I like the way Benji has used him this year but if Api wants to extend you dont lose Aip for TDS. Especially with Jared Haywood coming through.

If Api extends (which Im expecting soon) I see Tigers letting TDS go (end of 26) and giving Haywood the same development pathway that they had booked in for TDS.

Talk of 1mill for Galvin 😂 he won’t be on anything close to that next year regardless of where he goes.
Also no idea why people are talking about TDS in a parra forum. Hands can play 80 min in cup next year and we have some juniors coming through that might also push for a spot. If we’re signing a hooker for next year they’d have to be 1st grade quality

It's a big headache for clubs that these old playmakers aren't retiring when they would have been anticipated to. It's stuffing their succession planning.
The cubs are free to f**k them off any time they are off contract. The reason they don’t is because of the risk to group cohesion. It’s why we still had Gutherson, RCG, Lane and Matterson this year. It wasn’t until the team imploded that we realised they weren’t doing what we paid them to do, which was lead.

Its not a headache at all if playmakers dont retire when the club expects them to. The club isnt compelled to extend their Contract and if they have planned the succession they can always let the "old playmaker" go and start the new way. If it gets the point that the younger player isnt ready yet, isnt good enough or its still worth it for the club to extend the old guy, then the succession plan simply didnt work.

As an example, it would be madness for the Tigers to let Api sign at another club to keep TDS, just as Storm never punted Cam Smith for Harry Grant, but Grant was sensible enough to know where his bread was buttered, just as Im sure TDS would be more prepared to take back seat to Api if we were the Storm and not the Tigers.

Since you asked, would be a brilliant signing and exactly what we need. Ideally for 1 year to bring Latu through but I dont think Reynolds would come for 1 year so probably 2. Wouldnt want to lose Latu over it, but just like the conversation we ahve had about TDS development, it would be perfect for Latu's development.

At this age I'd explect Reynolds to miss a fair bit with injury, but thats where Latu fits in as well.

If he stays at Tigers he is on $1.1M pa, and he has knocked that back. A monkey doesnt jump from a tree without a branch to land on.
I love how you come in and pretend to know where Galvin is going.

You know nothing and are just here for the good trolling...for the record, we have our own insufferable trolls in these parts and don't need your lonely arse coming in here looking for some human interaction...

My feeling is that Galvin will be an Eel....and I think all this interest from the dogs (and the stupid fishing from Hooper, Anasta and James Graham) is great for Parra as no one can suggest that a deal was ever reached or sorted before he had permission!
