I'm happy for Jake, as I am for Boods and Brad.

Brad Arthur was a settling influence who stabilised our club in our worst of times coming last while breaching the salary cap with points deducted for the season.

I'll forever praise Brad Arthur for how he pulled us out of that hole.

Brad Arthur is an Eels great and everyone should acknowledge that.
I acknowledge that in the biggest game of his coaching career he picked his plodder of a son on the bench with no plan to actually use him and a busted Nathan Brown who wasn’t good enough to crack first grade all year before that game.

I'm serious.

Brad Arthur was the architect of our climb out of complete and utter NRL humiliation into repeat seasons of NRL finals footy.

As much as we can ridicule him for selection issues in his later period every Eels fan has to give him credit for sticking solid with a gutted roster, deducted points on the ladder and a despondent fan base.

IRay Price was the best footy player Parra ever produced but he's not a clubman and he's not the sort of man to coalesce a club.
That’s Jarryd Hayne, and that’s even considering the fact Hayne was happy to coast on his natural talent. Would be nice to have seen what he could’ve been if he had the killer instinct.

I've done the same (when I lived in the Parra area). They aren't very keen.
I actually lie to them and tell them Parra have an Indian RL academy with multiple up and coming stars.
Interesting. I sat in front of a row of about 10 young Indian fellas at Commbank a couple of weeks ago against Penrith. 2 or 3 sounded like eels tragics and were educating the others about what was happening on the field. They were loving it. It was great to see.

Right.

We all hate him for that.

He was like a Greek oligrach who overstayed his time but who can argue with how he pulled us out of decrepitude?

Do you even recall how low we were at the time?

Legal Eel surely even you can recognise and hail Brad Arthur for taking us out of our predestined demise.

Turn off your hate and let your mind float downstream to 2016

The only history I’ve been alive to experience isn’t worth remembering. This team has won sweet f**k all in my time, we even got stripped of our shitty nines trophy.
Keep the faith brother.

Our time will come.

While everyone else is arguing over Boods vs Riley Smith and what makes a good backup half the Eels will win a premiership again.

That he is an ‘Eels great’.
Brad Arthur took on the team at our all time low when everyone else was slicing and dicing us up for feeder teams to rorters, gus gould's next adventure, every other team but us and at the same time we were ritually humiliated by the fact we were over the cap and came last. Stripped of points for next season Brad Arthur stepped in an took us to a series of finals appearances.

That record puts him in Eels great for mine.

There was also that Sri Lankan family on Gogglebox. They were Panthers tragics.

I would like to heal our club of turning against the last coach as if he were an aberration

Each of our coaches is in a long line of coaches like the popes.

Parramatta itself was a founding city.
