The Raiders game showed up a consistent theme, our centres are lacking in speed, awareness and passing skills.Thats all 3 that are available, when the Raiders made any sort of break , their centres were lining up for a pass , the Dolphins are experts at it.

Until we upgrade several positions ( we have cap availability , but no targets) we will see more of the same. The Cup team got shredded on the edges again , with Dunster and Tago willing but not quick and unable to cope .

If the team is unable to convert some big breaks it tells the tale, identify what we need and go hard . To be honest Addo Carr is playing above his pay rate, as is Jack Williams - the mostly reserve grade signings made by the club are slowly improving but wouldn’t be first choice at the top 4.

Sound familiar, recruitment issues , so who is held responsible, no one by the look of it.

I don't think Russell and simonson are slow players, I agree with the lack of aweness.

The shame about the support play is we got multiple players in the starting 13 with experience playing FB

I think Bailey's issue isn't a lack of speed - it's that in his 117 First Grade appearances to date, only 29 of those have been at centre.

He's basically a rookie at centre.

But imo he's shown enough to prove he's worth persisting with.

Russell...I mean, I like Russell because he's safe, and defends well...but he is slow, he is not powerful, and he does not display much in the way of skill on a weekly basis...if a better centre comes along, he may need to make way for them...

Here’s an idea, it’s 2025 and arvo shade is still a massive issue on the broadcast for arvo games.

Surely as part of this big shiny new broadcast deal, they could request a change in technology in broadcasting the images to reduce the squint needed when it goes from light to dark in the play?

For those who are at games, where is Iongi when breaks are made?

As others have pointed out, Teddy, Hammer, Edwards, Paps, Turbo are all in support when a line break is made.

Is Iongi preparing for the next set play and so have no awareness that a break is made?

I would include the Fox too? Where is he when a line break is made?
