So Benji has covered all that in his life since wests tigers last played a finals match.

Incredible really for a god like figure who won 2 finals game since some flick pass in 2005.

Taafe/Walker/Reynolds/Cook were the spine that whole finals series.

Bennett got Souths up and over the line as underdogs against the Panthers in week 1 through defence and roughing up Nathan whenever he kicked the ball.

We werent as deliberate the following week as the refs were onto us as Penrith had a whinge.

Benji had no impact in that finals series just there for the ride.

If you looked at some Tigers games last year they actually played attractive football, lost a fair few close games, and just need to fix their defence to become competitive against the better teams. This year their rookie players will have more experience and I expect them to improve again. Bit like us really.

Benji, imo, has the making of a good coach - time will tell, but until they fix HQ they'll struggle and that is not the fault of the coach!

Believe the big problem is that the club is run like a Balmain based entity when the real strength is in the South West around Campbelltown, the need to develop its junior area is obvious, but they love Leichhardt Oval and dont see much beyond there.

Not sure the HBG is all at fault, possibly they became the circuit breaker to move their COE to Campbelltown.
