If we don't learn how to close out tight games and get more points out of our halves it won't make much difference how well he kicks
Though a good GK may have got us in the finals in some of the last seasons (Don’t think anything would of saved us last year)?

It would have in 2019 that’s for sure, we lost 2-3 games that year due to terrible goal kicking and ended up a final round game away from making the 8.

Didn’t we recruit Darryl halligan as kicking coach?

From the other site:

Jackson Hastings has signed a 2 year deal with us, effective immediately?

If true, we are getting an embarrassment of riches, where do we fit him?
He would obviously play reserve grade to start?

Good news if true.More pressure on the protected species Brooks. If true then either madden or Hastings are certain to displace brooks as our 7.Additionally Laurie will easily trump Mbye for the fullback spot.Things are certainly on the up at concord.

Mbye’s being squeezed out like a hard shit and ok we will give Brookes a few weeks, but if he hasn’t improved with his new responsibilities, then he can follow.
That article about Madge didn’t do anything for my confidence in him..For me it was bad timing amongst the good news of recent actual and potential recruits.... ..It could easily have been about a coach that’s past it, with no clue and hanging on to past glories..
Luckily things seem to be falling into place although one suspects Hartigan’s increased decision making is the only reason (condition) Madge was resigned and we are now seeing the rewards for that..

& with that Brooks is part of the ‘21 leadership group with Twal Nofo and AD. Same again in ‘21 and he could be sole captain for ‘22.
I like Nofo in that mix... He does a bit of reprimanding (it’s more of a look with hands raised) when other players including BJ make silly errors. Now hopefully even more so, as well as keeping BJ in line

Sure we make top 8. Yes that's a step forward but top8 is just a scam buy the nrl to sell more finals tickets. In the time the afl and nrl have used the current finals format, all comps (or at least 95%) have been won by top 4 teams.

I still hope we can crack it this year though:joy:
