Russia have withdrawn from the upcoming Under 19 European Championship due to financial difficulties caused by the game not being recognised as an official game in Russia thus affecting state funding.

Before the game collapses completely in Russia can the f$%#wits that run this game do something about this situation....or is it oh well it didn't work there let's go elsewhere which has been the history of RL.

Why can't the so called leaders throw a few dollars at the young Russians to get them to this tournament.

I despair with this game.

They could have crowd funded, auctioned off memorabilia, raffle tickets etc.
In stead they just sit back and then throw their hands in the air when the money tree doesn’t fruit...

Real shame, and I seriously worry about Ukraine, who were beaten 50-0 by Italy, who will probably be the 2nd weakest team there.

A strong junior International program is on of the best investments the RLIF could make. Scratching together funds to get teams to this sort of thing should take priority in my opinion.

Hopefully the Serbian management put their best squad out v England ...which will include the heritage kids from Oz (UK ?) and allow a mostly domestic squad to play the Ukraine. ( Working on theory that both Serbia and / or Ukraine don't cause the upsets of the century in the first round !)
