Sack mary and take lafai and norman with him .He has no idea has become a joke and embarrassing he is coaching a nrl team like the dragons 2 straight losses at Kogarah.
Both players had a solid hand in our first half great performance. Pretty unfair to place the blame on any specific player for that second half as they whole forward line collectively ran out of steam and started making errors

Blame Mary for bench management and selections

There's always next week. Korbin Sims will make all the difference. The last 120 weeks of footy under Paul McGregor were inconsequential. Next week will be different.

Very well said, Mera.
Football / league, is a business and as such, every employee needs to continue to prove themselves. You are only as good as your last win, so to speak.
How the board could even consider renewing McGregors' contract before the season is over beggars belief.

Yeah I don't get the signing of coaches for longer than 3 years if they haven't won comp.

Mcf**kwitt can ff off now, it is time for a change, I have had enough of this idiot, we have had more prime minister changes since 2014 even Bennett didn't last at the Broncos.

Can you imagine if those reports had been correct that Mary would be extended before Round 1? To think this would have come right after that

And we have the young Broncs waiting for revenge

And all the media & Forum & players think his spine changes suck & mess with everyone’s heads

The Brisbane template from the semi is surely staring Waterboy-again-in-Waiting in the face:

No Widdop, no Vaughn, no Aitken, injured JDB and we played our best game since 2010?

Reselect Lomax, Dufty & Field -
& include Robson, Kerr & Pearson

No Lats or Allgood please
No inconsistent backs who can score only from 15m

Speed required
Xfactor Length-of-the-Field capability

The boys showed great linespeed & commitment in the forwards until the 2nd half bench rotation, spine & usual right side defence disasters

The youngsters have the heart & speed - FFS let them loose

Our next coach will - if they’re still on our roster

Yes we would score more tries with the likes of Robson, Lomax, Pearson, Field and Dufty in the 17 however, how will our defence go? I'd say our defence structure is reliant upon line speed and players knowing their role and completing their task accurately. Against Souths Bennett made adjustments at half time and Mary continued with the same. Bennett spotted Leilua on the right edge and exploited this, Mary made no adjustments.

Your right possm we could see Leilua being a problem in defence but McGregor cant amazing. Also the amount of time Vauhan Host Laurie spent off the field. Latimore did his job for us last year but its time for him to stick with reserve grade. Timms should come on the bench for Latimore and Korbin to replace Leilua.
Leilua problem he shows no urgency at all, he needs some angry pills before he plays.

Just when I thought coach had learned nothing in the off season last night he proved me totally wrong.
He has learnt to do in each game what normally takes an entire season of his coaching.
Play well in the 1st half and play like shit in the 2nd.

McGregor out to bolster pack as inexperience bites

St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor has confirmed the club will seek to add another forward to their roster once they gain clarity from the NRL about the process for replacing Jack de Belin.

McGregor made the comments after Thursday night’s 34-18 loss to South Sydney highlighted the impact that the absence of de Belin, Tyson Frizell and Korbin Sims has had on the Dragons forward depth.

While Sims will be available for his first Telstra Premiership appearance since joining the Dragons after completing a two-match suspension and Frizell is expected back in two-to-three weeks following surgery for a ruptured testicle, de Belin is sidelined indefinitely.

However, the Dragons want to follow through on the NRL’s offer for roster assistance after applying the new “no fault stand down” policy while he defends a sexual assault charge and McGregor said recruitment head Ian Millward was scouring the market for another forward.

Match Highlights: Dragons v Rabbitohs

That’ll be up to Ian to look what’s available once we find out what we can do,” McGregor said. “First of all we’ve got to know the situation and have a good understanding of it, then Ian will go to work.

“We’ve got a position open in our squad, we’ve only got 29 [players] including Jack.”

Without de Belin, Frizell and Sims, McGregor has been forced to turn to inexperienced forwards Jacob Host and Luciano Leilua to share the right second-row position, while Blake Lawrie started just his second NRL match at lock.

Prop Josh Kerr made his NRL debut off the interchange and conceded a penalty and made an error after coming on just before halftime that added to the pressure the Dragons were under as they defended repeat sets near their own line.

While they managed to hold on to a 12-6 lead at the interval, a glut of possession early in the second half led to three quick Rabbitohs tries and St George Illawarra were heading towards a second straight defeat.

McGregor: We won't let Widdop go early

“It was a little bit like last week, we played some good quality footy and we held onto possession so went into the second half half nice and fresh, but we didn’t sustain it,” McGregor said.

“They had six sets to one and scored two tries in seven minutes and the game swung the other way. There’s good there, but it’s not sustained for 80 minutes and that’s the disappointing thing at the moment.

“We’ve got quality and experience missing, but after having a good spell at halftime there’s no reason why the attitude and intent didn’t need to be as good as it was in the first half

“There’s young guys playing longer minutes and obviously that can expose players, but they’re going to be better for it.”

Very tough time as a fan when you want your team to win but every loss gets your shit coach closer to the sack
Brutalitops, I agree with you mate. The first time ever last night I was riding the opposition home. I wanted them to get 50 because this is now the only way to remove the coach. Hey here is an idea Coach. Given how much you state your love for the club, why not do the right thing by all concerned and resign? Oh that's right, that would be putting your ego to the side and putting the interests of the club first and foremost.

Don't worry lads, the first domino is about to topple over and then the avalanche against him to get into full gear. Two more bad losses should do it!

He has lost the group with this fullback on the bench foolishness.

Especially the captain.

Millward gave him the "5 into 4" scenario.

It is as if Millward gave him 3 shovels and said take your pick.

Confused the poor fella

Widdop does not seem happy. I sincerely believe Widdop loves the club and wanted to stay another year but he does not look happy with what Mary is doing to the spine.

15 minutes at the end is like 2 sets

Maybe a bit of Roy Masters style face slapping for L L before they run out.
