Saints beaten

Maybe this will put an end to all the ''saints tick another box'' , ''saints 12/12, very easy'' etc etc business.

Anderson seems to have turned them intoa team of defencive robots.

They missed sean long so much. Tonight has shown that with agressive defence, and some invention in attack saints can and will be beaten, but boy sean long is crucial to their success.

I have to say i think you can put this loss down to anderson. Needlesly resting sean long. He plays they win IMO, he would have found an extra try from somewhere and their kicking would have been better.

And what about sculthorpe?

He doesn't do what a captain should do IMO, he is petulant and always seems to have sly digs and start fighting. (see bailey earlier in the year as well).

I agree totally. Anderson has spent 12 weeks building up the side saying we've cruised to victories without even playing well. Now he goes and throws a bizarre lineup out and loses, when he should be trying to get the full strength side to gell as an attacking force.

Massive error of judgement from Ando tonight.

Sculthorpe also was shocking. His defense was non-existent, the Giants making massive gains by running at him or outside him. His decision to twice take the 2 when 6 behind was baffling to say the least. We had no territory tonight and wasted what we did get by kicking penalties instead of putting the Giants under some pressure.

You have to credit Huddersfield tonight. They know they are a weak side and they played to their strengths tonight. The players stook to the gameplan 100% and their commitment was total for the full 80. They thoroughly deserved the win and could have stretched the scoreline out had they been more adventurous.

10/10 for Huddersfield
0/10 for Daniel Anderson

But every cloud has a silver lining. Another defeat in two weeks against Wakefield wouldn't be a bad idea.

Yup, you're right there.

I think Anderson underestimtaed hudds. He chose a game when cayless, lyon and gilmour were out to rest long and leave pryce and cunningham out fo the starting line up, AND play and totally inexperienced, untried half back pairing.

Stupid!!

Unlucky 13????

I've got a soft spot for Hudd, if it couldn't be the Bulls breaking the winning streak, at least it was the Giants.

Saints will be back, fingers crossed it's not for a few weeks though. :p

At least this will put an end to Lowey's arrogance.

They know they are a weak side and they played to their strengths tonight.

I don't think Hudds are a weak side really...We beat the league leaders with our four leading try-scorers missing.

We lost on purpose.

Huddersfield stretch their lead over Wigan with another two points, while we're still 4 points clear.

We went for 2 points under the sticks twice, while we was still behind on the score board - obvious sign that we was throwing the game.

Congratulations to Saints on putting more pressure on Wigan at the foot of thetable. Never mind a win, yet another Saints box has been tipped tonight for a different reason.

Come on, the ''team you love'' is being dragged through the mud by anderson.

The ridiculas over reaction to this defeat on the siants board is hilarious. Imagine what you would be like if you were wigan!!!!

Good on Huddersfield for knuckling down and putting a stop to the run of Saints wins this season. Sure didn't think they'd be the side to do it, as they've been quite hot and cold. If Huddersfield could string some of those performances together week to week they could push for a top six spot?

Saints can either use the loss at this point of season and regroup and come out of it stronger, or they can fold like a pack of cards and come back to the pack. Will be interesting to see what unfolds from here...

Saints have some of the biggest whingers in the game. When things are going there way they get all cocky and look down on other teams. When they lose "its on purpose" or "they played poorly".

Just like when we stuck two fingers upto them in the semi final, Hull never outplayed St Helens everywhere for 80 minutes...no we just caught them on an off day.

Heres hoping another 10 defeats are to fellow for Saints.

Pretty good chance of another defeat on Friday against hot Wire.
