After winning only 1 NRL Premiership and failing at Rugby Union, {unlike Sonny}, Sammy blamed thoughs around him in Union for his failure. There's only 1 SBW and SB ain't in the same class as a person or athlete.

True, Burgess is far superior. Capt on and off the field and for his country, greater work rate and far less likely to hand the ball over with a stupid flick pass. Ask yourself do you think the odds will be better for Sths winning the GF now Burgess is back or for roosters if SBW returned? Big Sam is far more influential on the potential success of the club.

failing in union is something to be proud of, its a sht house of a game.

Only one of them has the balls big enough to be back in the worlds toughest Rugby competition, and it aint the show pony $BW.

Being shithouse at a shithouse game somehow make you better than a top-flight performer at the 2 codes, low bow to draw. Double negtaive makes a positive.

Yes, 'balls' is why he came back. Nothing to do with it being too hard.

SBW, like Brad Thorn, was world class in both sports. He's won 2 Premierships, 2 World Cups, and a Super Rugby title. Sam could only dream of that degree of influence and success in both codes.

Now chances are that I rate Sam higher than you. He's easily the best middle third forward I've ever seen. An 80 minute force of nature. But it's nontheless disappointing to see both he and the English Rugby Board fail miserably with his transition.

But at League, they're both geniuses. You won't see me denegrate either because I'm not an idiot.

Agree. He's a different style of player tho SBW, and a more specialised one. SBW is a rare freak who is equally brilliant at centre and second row, Sam is a pure forward. He was undone by the weird English obsession with having huge slow lumbering centres, hence their failed attempt to put him into that role.

LOL SBW is a bench player in Rugby and Burgess was so bad at Rugby he got booed out of the country

Hayne + NFL > Rugby scrubs

Who cares about rugby? Can we stop talking about that joke of a game. Sam came to realise what the rest of us knew - learning every nuance would take years. And he didn't want to waste years of his life in a dull as shit game

 bench player that actually plays, and has an impact - no disgrace being behind perhaps the best 2nd 5 in All Black history...

Practice squad Hayne  with the drop in wickets and preponderance of 20:20 perhaps the Hayne-train(ing squad) should take up cricket as his next challenge?

If Remi Casty switched codes, he'd surpass everyone

Not Craig Gower, surely?

Funny though, most high-profile union converts do well, not the case the other way - union too specialised if you don't put the time in

Craig gower captained a premiership, and played origin, captained australia in league and played international Rugby.
By the OPs logic Gower is the GOAT
