He is this generations version of Tricky Trindall....great for the first month, plays the rest of the season in second gear.

A very irritating type of player. I suspect that opposing players would love to smash him.

He is in his 8th season of NRL and has yet to be part of a finals series.

Not sure if there is any other player in the same boat.

I remember Mark O'Neill played 11 seasons, over 200 games for Balmain and Wests Tigers before he played his first final. His last game was the 2005 grand final win.

He is good for 5 good games a year. No wonder when Souths shipped him off they started playing finals.

Depends whether you want to play finals or finish 10th. If you want finals, look elsewhere. Sandow will never have consistency.

Our problem is that next year both Foran and Norman are left side halves whilst Sandow plays on the right.

Let him play his natural game more often. Coaches these days do everything possible the thwart such players' styles because it doesn't fit the limited and negative game plans they all adopt. I say 'plans' but that suggests there is more than one across the whole comp.

Haven't we got rid of this left side/right side rubbish by now?

More often than not Centres and Wingers will play on the non preferred side. The halves will get over it.

Foran/Norman will be shitloads better than anything Sandow brings to the team.

Then you still need to look elsewhere, find the next half that is in the QLD cup, or if Stuart continues with Sam Williams, target Matt Cornish. There are options that don't involve Sandow. His bad games are beyond horrific, and they happen 4/5 games.

He does play his natural game.. when he's confident.

He is the very definition of a confidence player, when the shit hits the fan you can't rely on him to grind out a platform to try to win from.

No he doesn't. Not very often. He's not allowed to play his natural game because it's unstructured and every single NRL coach is obsessed with structure and limiting individual play. They can't cope with a bloke who plays on instinct. It's why someone like Albert Kelly can be shunted from the NRL but absolutely destroy the super league. There's less structure and more football.

Raiders halfback, Cornish. The guy Stuart dropped for Sam Williams. Has a lot of potential to be fair, and has less bad games in him.

He has been vastly improved since coming back into the team under Arthur last year but he was horrible prior to that. He seems to have worked pretty hard on his game. He always plays best at home when the whole team has a roll on and can't be relied upon to get us home in the tight away games very often.

He's the kind of guy that might benefit from playing alongside a steady influence like Foran but it's probably better to just cut ties and move on. Apart from some good try assists in the opening round Norman has been very ordinary in his time at Parra but doesn't cop the same flack as Sandow

The hardest person to convince Sandow is erratic would be Sandow. He's still mentally in the bush, any game for him is either good fun or boring . . . how his team mates see it is neither here nor there

Played with a few half backs like him .
They were freakish to watch but a nightmare to play along side.
Game plans were almost non existent .
I played mainly fullback and just trailed (one of them in particular )
I learnt to be ready to cop a hospital pass at any time.
But ey
They were great to watch when the fired .
