Any idea how many teams rl has now in Brazil?
I don't know the exact figure but Rugby League is played in the regions of São Lourenço, Baixo Guandu, Rio de Janeiro and now Sau Paulo.

I don't know how many teams participate all together but before this year the Sao Lourenco Rugby club was the only real active club playing regular Rugby League. Now there are national club championships (with both men and women) from four regions across Brazil and international rep games for Brazil Rugby league

That's great development in such a short space of time.
From where I sit, it appears South America and Eastern Europe are where the strongest chances of growth for rugby league are. And IMO that's where the RLIF/RLEF should be really concentrating.A hell of a lot less costwise, than the USA,which I still believe must not be ignored.
