if they owned the 4 Nations and ANZAC Test then they could make us pay for it too, and we'd be happy to do so. $40 a year or something for all televised international games, maybe add in the U20s stuff too.

Hell even incorporate SOO to draw more people (but you'd have to then give the NRL a significant portion of the revenue)

Fulltime: South Africa 10-30 British Lions

Did anyone watch? There was a funny dialogue picked up on the referee's mic at the end, the British captain had lots of complaints and was explaining one rule to him, he said "in Rugby League that's not a penalty! You need need to take a session with our teachers" Ref says "I just took the course yesterday!" hahaha!

There were definitely some 'interesting' refereeing decisions there by the South African ref!

I didn't see that, but I can almost guaranty that it was for failed attempted intercepts. Seems to be the one thing union folks blow up over, apparently it is a yellow card offense in union.

Either that or decent tackles. Plenty of those get penalised in union.

No, the English were blowing up at the South African ref. Some very strange calls he made.

An English player for example, in the last 5 minutes grabbed a player by the shirt in the tackle and swung him to the ground and he penalised it and said 'swinging'! One of many examples.

I thought in regards to the rules he went quite well, though as a ref, you need to let a bit go if your going to get a free flowing game and he didn't do this,he didn't let a thing go.A couple of his penalty calls were in regard to the scrum, putting the ball in the second row instead of the tunnel, other times he let it go.

...the stream quality was EXCELLENT by the way! Well done to the South Africans.

Any word on the crowd? Sounded like barely 100 people were there.

Good point, possibly the scrum feeds also. Poor bloke, just doing his best. Can't blame him when that is how the scrum feed should be reffed. I wouldn't be surprised if it is even in the rule book but most just ignore it.
