G'day boys,

I'm coming from Canberra for the game tomorrow night. Can anyone reccommend a good pub to drink at before hand where there will be some other Tigers nuts?

Also what about after the game. I know the Balmain Leagues club is closed at the moment, Where do the players go to these days?

Orange Grove.

Red Lion, Gary Owen and the Orange Grove will all be packed with Tigers supporters before and after.

I like to start and Red Lion on Darling st in Rozelle and do a pub crawl to all 3 on the way to the game.

Orange Grove gets crazy packed before and after though as it is the closest pub.
Good atmosphere but getting a drink can be a mission.

The Orange grove has had a big injection of funds sunk into her. One of the last pubs in the inner west to have had a make over. Not sure if it really makes any difference but maybe they are trying to lure punters from other areas other than the house o's down the street

New developments are looking schmick that's for sure. Am thinking about throwing my job away and lining up for the handout.

I ended up playing in goal for my lot on Saturday morning (such were our shortness of numbers) - badly sprained ankle and all. Hobbled around on 1 leg, managed to cop a knock on the other knee, made some good saves and yet still lost 6-0.
Consoled myself with several at the Gary Owen, was even joined by the Wolfman at one stage (f**k knows what he was doing there) and a roadie en route to Bay 3.
