Scoring side to kick off?

I think teams should be allowed to pass forward aslong as it is made behind the play the ball.

Also, no need to play the ball with the foot. Get rid of the ten metres as well.

To assist the defence with the new rules they should be able to engage the attacking players physically at the time the ball is played.

We might also need to change the position name of winger. Given they are typically out 'wide' and will be 'receiving' the ball, any ideas?

With so many blow outs with the new rule changes and increase in fatigue - I think the best rule change to implement next would be that the scoring side kicks off. Probably nothing more deflating than letting a try score to be 40-0 and then having to run another 40m just to tackle a bloke.

what do you think?
Sounds like super league, and no, why should a team be rewarded by recieving a kick off when they aren't better than the leading side, be better...

I think we need more rule changes.

Preferably mid season, and without notice.
Why stop their, rule changes during the game/play.

Seriously,
The rule of who kick off to stay the same during the first half. So each team kicks off to start the half as per usual and the scoring team gets to receive the ball (during the first half) as this allows a team to get dominance if they can. During he second half after a scoring play ie try and/or goal the team behind in points on the board will receive the kick-off. Or the team ahead on points will kick off, whether they scored or were scored against, if they are ahead on points.
What say you?

The game should be like it was in 1908. All the heads that have had to explode since then over every rule change is so sad. It should be a 1mm on side rule and unlimited tackles, leather ball. Tries worth 3.

The tackle
  • On being tackled with the ball in his possession a play-the-ball occurs(as introduced in 1906). Before any person can play the ball, he must pick it up and put it at his toe(technically forming a scrum) and play on.
  • Play-the-ball: provided they are onside (no minimum distance specified) all players in vicinity permitted to kick or rake for the ball in any direction
  • No limit on number of tackles a team can retain possession

A large mirror should be dragged in front of the defending team after they let in a try so they can have a long hard look at themselves.

How about any player can only kick off the one time- once you’ve had your kickoff, another teammate has to have the next one, and so on. Spread the love around a bit.

And after 17 kickoffs game over and an early flight out of Brisbane?

Try scorer has a best of 3 scissors paper rock with the ref for a chance at a second conversion. Try scorer has to be the one to take the second conversion if successful. Opposing team rolls dice to determine where they kick off from. If it’s your birthday then any try you score is worth double. All players must wear team issued caps

at least make it so if the ball is kicked out on the full from the kick off it is only a 30m tap. A penalty from half way is t00 much penalty to even consider doing anything other than the exact same kick off we see every time.
