Scoring side to kick off?

With so many blow outs with the new rule changes and increase in fatigue - I think the best rule change to implement next would be that the scoring side kicks off. Probably nothing more deflating than letting a try score to be 40-0 and then having to run another 40m just to tackle a bloke.

what do you think?

How about any player can only kick off the one time- once you’ve had your kickoff, another teammate has to have the next one, and so on. Spread the love around a bit.

I think to make it fair , whoever scores a try goes in the bin for 5 minutes , if kick a field goal 10 minutes and sent off from game for a 2 point field goal

Not every game is a blowout, and it could actually deny a team that is behind by a couple tries getting the ball back when they score.

leave it as is, the kicking team always has a 40-60% chance of getting the ball back with a short kick off.

big hit!

What f**king fatigue? They're standing behind the try line taking a breather, while thinking about the defensive process they need to get right on the next set.

Earn the right to get the ball back with a strong defensive set, and don't make ill-disciplined or lazy errors. Good teams get it right, shit teams don't

I'd prefer the try scoring team jogs a lap of the field while their goal kicker attempts the conversion. Team needs to do the lap and get back into their kick-off position by the time the kick-off team is ready to restart, otherwise the kick-off team can recover the ball and score a try.

This idea is much less of a big deal than most of the rule changes we havve seen in the last couple years and nobodys head has exploded over any of those rule changes.

NFL experiments with their kickoff rules all the time. No heads explode.

Didn’t work in super league so ahhh no ...
Not sure it didn't work, the two sides kissed and made up and basically went back to the old rules.

From what I remember they kept the rule of not being allowed to strike in the play the ball from SL, it was probably a trade off.

West Tigers did a second half rally and almost beat the Cowboys. It definitely wouldn't have happened if this rule was in place.

Did they score again from the kick off set, or off a penalty from the kick off set?
If so, you may be right.
If not, you are definitely wrong.

Bring it in in reggies this year. See what happens.
