Happy 300th post to you sir

I reckon that last quick throw descison was dodgy, I saw nothing wrong with it and the Fijian with the ball looked like he was about to make a major break. Too bad Samoa lost as well

Just shows you how thin international union really is with sides as poor as Wales and Scotland making the quarters. Fiji would've been just as poor and we saw what Samoa has to offer when playing a top side on fire.

Ho hum.

Yeah. The yellow card was harsh, too. I'd have to see the footage again, but I thought I saw a Scottish player push the Fijian down.

The yellow card decision was a joke as were several other ref decisions in the game. In the end though, they can only blame themselves. They bombed about 3 or 4 tries in the first half and should have won the game by 30 points.

Caucau is the most exciting thing in International rugby at the moment. An absolute star It is a shame that was the last we will see of him in this tournament.

Best game of yawnion I've ever seen, but that wouldn't be hard. You don't see many free-flowing games in my eyes.

The tournament needed a game like that to finish the pool rounds, especially after the pathetic 111-13 excuse for a contest.

Well done Wales, but will they play like that again?

My answer is a big fat NO. It was one from left field.

That little Williams fellow looks a decent player.

Wales played bloody well and would've given ANY side in the world a run for their money last night, but NZ still scored 8 tries against them. Hardly what I'd call average.

IMO the team that can feel really disappointed is Argentina. By virtue of the draw, they ended up missing out on the quarter finals. Granted, they lost to Australia and Ireland, but I think they're a much stronger side than the Scots.

I disagree SM, NZ were made to look very average IMO. They should've won by about 50 as the Welsh defence was terrible and some very soft tries were scored by the AB's. They came out to put the Welsh to the sword and it backfired on them. I was quite surprised they didn't curb it a bit in the second half and grind Wales out of the game, instead they continued to go on the theory that "you can score 50 tries but I bet ya I can score 51". In defence, at times they struggled to put players down first time, stop offloads and were split wide open several times.

I think the French come out looking the best out of the pool stage. They've just gone along quietly barely rating a mention while the 3 favourites for the competition haven't impressed at all with Aus struggling against Ireland, Eng struggling against Samoa and NZ struggling against Wales.

I think the French come out largely untested. Sure, they've demolished their opposition, but their group was pretty weak. That's why they haven't rated a mention - not one of their games really proves anything either way. There's just not much to say (not that that usually stops journalists, I suppose  ).

i have a theory that a pissed off john mitchel was playing games with Wales "B " .

he wouldnt have liked the welshmen putting up a b grade side (10 test players sidelined) and would have just played with them..
mitch couldnt care less about the game as a spectator sport.that was nothing but a glorified training run.

i wont watch games like this,, they are an embarressment.

the AB,s should have put over 100 on the welsh

Hey we leaguies know our international game isn't the best, but union's isn't as good as the spin patrol make out. Just look at the quarter finals. You can play as crap as Scotland and Wales (except for last fluke game) and still be virtually assured of a place.

Australia can be bagged from pillar to post, yet they will make the semi-finals without any fuss.

They were SHOCKING against Ireland, yet still won the game. Doesn't say much for Ireland.

What a load of crap, you and your sooo called leagies have rated league internationals as always so much better. No one on this forum has stated other wise, its a cop out with some of the crap guy and some other wanabies come out with. Just like the media come out with crap about union, some of you die hard fans more than make up for it.

It bugs me how people stero type Wales as playing the boring style of rugby that Scotland, Ireland and England allegedly play. Wales often throw the ball around when possible. And compared to the Wallabies, they are excitment machines!
