Fitzy has stated he is going to keep smith running the clib until his contract ends in 2 seasons so there's not much really we can do fitzy has been in charge of the club for 20 years (god knows how he keeps getting elected) but even the team has said they support smith so i dont think smith is going to quit due to fans only due to his team not supporting him...

Yeah, and the boards supported Anderson at Cronulla, and Simmons at Penrith and Sharp at Manly, right up to the time they sacked em in fact. Fans do have a big say when it comes to the turnstyles.

Thats because we have too many fans that come out of the closett when we are winning!!

I would dare say you will find plenty of them at Penrith Park most weekends.

Not exactly the supporters I would want!

The last 3 premeirship winning sides (2001: Newcastle  , 2002: Roosters, 2003: Panthers) all had new coaching staff. Maybe Fitzgerald should take a clue.

Wake up to yourself! The majority of people that attend football games do so for entertainment. It's only a minority hard core that live & breath the game the rest will find better things to do when they are not being entertained. For the last 100 years crowds have always gone up and down in accordance with the performance of the team and only a fool would expect otherwise, if you went to any games yourself you would know that.

Of course there are bandwagon jumpers with every club, and Penrith have their share too, but I would rather have them there.....than not.

It's all $ profit for your club which (like it or not) they all need, and a large crowd makes for one helluva lot better atmosphere than a small one.

And a large crowd cheering is going to have a lot more influence to fire up your team up for a win in a really close game than a small one too.

I'm sure the players would much rather have had the nearly 20,000 screaming fans (diehard or not) at Penrith yesterday to help them to get over the line, rather than 8,000 diehard ones which would have made for a lot less atmosphere and a whole lot less noise.

And I won't bother telling you any platitudes about how your team will turn it around eventually, so just be patient, and I know how you feel because I've been there.

It's all a load of crap, and I remember how annoying it was when other fans used to do it to us. We appreciated them making the effort to try to make us feel better, but it doesn't work..........nothing does.

Suffice to say I do know how you feel, so I say you all go ahead and vent your frustration as much as you like..........because it's the only thing that's going to get you through so that you're still around for when the good times return.
