The Manly Sea Eagles today announced the official trial dates and venues for the leadup to the 2004 season.
A Sevens side of 11 players and an emergency will be named in the next week but is unlikely to include skipper Steve Menzies and several other star players.
Coach Des Hasler is keen to use several of the club's new players in the Sevens which will be played on Saturday January 24 and Sunday January 25.
Trial matches are as follows:
* Saturday,January 31 - Junior Representative trials v North Sydney at Brookvale Oval (afternoon).
* Saturday,February 7 - Premier League/NRL side v Central Queensland Comets at Rockhampton.
* Sunday,February 8 - Flegg and Premier League trial v Wests Tigers at Brookvale Oval (afternoon).
* Saturday,February 14 - Premier League,Flegg,Ball,Matthews trials v Parramatta at Brookvale Oval (afternoon).
* Friday,February 20 -NRL trial v North Queensland Cowboys in Cairns.
* Saturday,February 28 - NRL trial v South Sydney at Wynnum Manly (night match).
The Sea Eagles will then have a week off before heading back to North Queensland to play North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville in round one of the premiership on Saturday,March 13 at 8.30p.m. (Sydney time)
