Um. But you said "What I rejected was that our population density was a factor in our low numbers" (post 9750 above. That's what you said. It's that idea that i disagree with. Nobody was dismissing Australia's success in battling covid. Some were just putting it into what they believe is a fairer context. I think we've we've done extremely well, but we've had some natural advantages that have supported policy decisions.

It was quite a perfunctory statement on his part.

Sure but there are plenty of island nations or island states of nations with similar population densities that the covid has ran through like a bad kebab. Malta, Hawaii etc etc. Natural advantages aside it has been swift strategic policy that has nipped the pandemic here in the bud. Back to my original point, island and population density is not enough to dismiss our efforts with the wave of a hand like I see daily by people who should know better.

Fair enough, but who disimssed our efforts? Hindy didn't say that we'd done a bad job.

But, but. Penriff has a dense population. They didn't cop the brunt.

That's one factor in our success

The other, probably more important one, is an effective toilet paper rationing and storage regime.

I had to buy single ply for a while there, might as well use your finger, cause that's where you end up anyways.
