If you believe the cockheads in the media, it's because they are waiting for the end of the season for Ciraldo to become available, but I'm not sure. If they have any sense, they will continue to take a long sighted view and just Madge more help in the football department.

Taking this approach appears to have improved our recruitment. Before we were signing a player that looked good in a position and expecting it to yield a good result. It happened with Jennings, with Joey and it also happened with Doueihi when we signed him to play fullback. Since Hartigan has come on board the signings have been about younger blokes and giving them time to develop, like Stephano, Simpkin, Kepaoa and to a lesser extent Laurie.

That's the approach I hope we will start taking with our coaching staff as well, like Souths have done. They signed Bennett, but they also signed Demetriou. Demetriou gets time to build a relationship with the playing group and assess their performance without having to be the head coach. Then when he takes over, there isn't that resentment that a team might have towards an outsider coming in to be head coach. You can see it Penrith with Ciraldo, at the Knights with Seibold and the Roosters with Fitzgibbon.

My expectation is that by bringing Sheens, Madge can have a sounding board without worrying about the bloke stealing his job and that we start bringing more effective people into the organisation at lower levels who have the capacity to move up and take on more responsibility when needed, like with Robbie becoming a trainer and Kimmorley coming back into the fold.

Fancy bugging the poor bloke while his team is still alive. You wonder why your club can't attract quality recruits.
Arhm, didn’t you negotiate Ivan away from here with 2 years to run on his contract? You’ve got a good team, but your club is run by flogs who now think they can do anything they like.
Anyway, you missed out on the GF last year and you will be lucky to make it there this year, your window is closing and you blokes know it.
Your team hasn’t really recovered since we gave them a flogging?

Apparently rumours going around that Madge is gone, BUT the preference is Ciraldo, who is not keen on coming? So it continues? You couldn’t make this stuff up, if true?

It was done in the off season, like this should have been.

Yep...our coach at the time ...cleary was totally bugged about leaving while our team was very much in the hunt for the finals that year and that successful bugging put paid to the end of that season for us ..that comment coming from supporters of the panthers of all clubs is pretty funny...talk about short memories

The review seems to be taking some time?

Season 2022 will be SNAFU. Actually I'm very sure we'll collect the spoon so it'll be a bit worse than situation normal.......

In regard to the review, firstly you wouldn't even know one was being undertaken based on the info on the tigers website, of which there isn't any. More stellar work in keeping the fans informed about what's going on at the club.

Secondly, based on media reports it's initially been done by Pascoe and Hartigan. If true (and yes I know there's a strong chance it's all bullshit) this sums up everything wrong with the club. Their heads should well and truly be on the chopping block, and it's obvious a review of this nature should be done independently. The reports then weigh in that The Sheenius, the major sponsor, and an unnamed board member have also been involved.

Does anyone else have a sinking feeling the The Sheenius is paving for the way for himself to become Supreme Ruler of the entire shebang? The fact that suddenly 3 coaches attached to England have been mentioned prominently has his fingerprints all over it.

This from a bloke who spat the dummy when the club tried to insert KPI's into his coaching contract. Obviously doesn't like to be held accountable.

I really hope the major sponsor turns out to be our version of Uncle Nick rather than the Saul Goodman that I fear he is.

This has clusterf#$k written all over it. Even by our standards.

It was announced round 21 2018 that Dave ONeil and Ivan had met about it weeks earlier.

Not sure why Panthers fans would be on a tigers forum in a thread about our 2022 season in the week they’re in a prelim. Their fascination with us is mind boggling.
My understanding was O'Neill wanted to buy Cleary's house. If you can believe Gus that is.

FYI..and can't imagine how you couldn't know this...his statement comfirming the panthers "bugging him" to leave weeks before the preseason as you say is such bad form ...even Gus conceded that WT had every right to be upset at the destabilisation but he had nothing to do with it and was proven right. As for who to believe about anything ivan shot his personal reputation to hell across the NRL..not just with WT and the fans who gave him total trust. Don't want to keep rehashing this shit but some of you people have a real problem digesting some basic facts.

Outside opinion piece

Oh...and worth noting that a few weeks later HE paid WT compensation for leaving 2 years early...he never intended to even honour the prepared statement that he read with his head down and his hands shaking.

So now you're doing the exact same thing with Ciraldo, but with his team still in the running. Hypocrisy much?

On the WT Instagram, they are mentioning Madge will continue to coach the club next year, good decision.

On the WT Instagram, they are mentioning Madge will continue to coach the club next year, good decision.

Following the thorough annual review of club’s football operations, Wests Tigers have confirmed that Michael Maguire will remain in his position as Head Coach.

In addition, the club has also confirmed several structural and procedural changes will take effect within the football department. These changes have the sole aim of ensuring the club continues to challenge itself in the way it operates in order to become a better performing organisation

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said: “While we always understood this review and process would take time, it was the responsibility of the football committee to ensure all information was considered to make the right decisions for the club moving forward.
