Fainu or
Sullivan?
I've got a feeling that if Fainu was told to olay in KOE and develop his game and body for the NRL he would accept it but if it was Sullivan he might sook...this is what I've read at SG.

Fainu has much more upside than Sullivan.JL & Benji will be instrumental in Latu transforming into a gun in the NRL.

Who would you want playing lock
Fonua Pole or
Justin Matamua

Matamua has been dreadfully used in first grade so far. Coming off the bench and playing hooker or often edge forward. The guys an out and out 13. I’d have him starting there and give him at least 6-8 rounds to show his worth.

No arguments from me.
It will benji's vision and the vibes that he picks up from training. A good problem.
To put it simply and accurately...."Sustained Intensity" that's going to win matches. All the players have to do this week in week out, otherwise it's reserves for them.
That's the way it's been for a long time and shouldn't change. Injuries, and poor form and lack of effort are excuses we shouldn't tolerate.
To have 70 put on us is unforgivable.

There's going to be a lot of competition for spots especially if Olam arrives.
The moral of the story I guess is who is NRL standard.
Naden has in the past proven he is but he went walk about in 2023.
Apparently he's back training hard so it will be interesting to see if he can force his way into the centres.
If Olam can reproduce his former glory then I think the centres will be him and To'a. Then you have Feledy chopping on the bit but he seems to be 1 year too green.
The big question for me is can Fainu get a run next year.
The club said he's our future. With Jarome coming, Fainu and Sullivan are going to battle it out with a late inclusion of Galvin
Lachlan is a gun in the making...will the club release one of these halves who are not performing or getting a NRL games.
Wings are going to be really competitive but Junior still has a year with us so the new boys may have to wait.
I really hope we can retain the goodins who aren't getting much NRL action.
As a side note, what happens if Sezer absolutely nails it next year and takes us into the finals...I know I'm dreaming, but what if he's the inform ½ for the whole year??
Let me check, this is season 2024 thread and I'm chatting about next year...gee I hope I haven't upset WA.

I can’t find vics post but: Benji’s always had Robbie around.. they’ve been through just about everything good and bad together over a long time and they’re still good mates. eg the death of Robbie’s mother etc etc ….that says a lot..Robbies a hard nut and won’t hold back letting Benji know what’s on his mind.. With Benjis more easy going she’ll be right nature, I think he has come to rely on Robbie when the hard decisions are to be made.. Benji may not get the honest hard truths that Robbie has always given him. (and I would guess they havnt been too far off the money), to the same same degree from others in his inner circle.. it’s all on Benji now so he’s going to live or die by what he thinks is right and who he wants around him.. ..Benji can’t say to the board he wants Robbie as a sounding board so he’s given him the attack coach position.. despite Robbie saying he prefers to manage I think he suits the role and their combo could surprise..Benji knows he needs every advantage as he sees it to overcome his lack of experience.. I like the honesty in that as well..Another thing as you said no one can predict who will make a good coach before they coach.. all our guesses mine included are just guesses. For all we know Benji could turn out ok or even much better than ok. Looking ok so far. I still think Robbie could be a closet coach in his own right. He’s a leader he’s clever and he’s definately angry enough.

Benji’s biggest ally tho could be Richo who’s been around the block..He’s a big fan of Benji as was proven when he bought Benji to south’s when no one else would have him.. and ofcourse Benji made a good impression and a strong impression during his time there..Especially when calling out Damien cook for his shit passing..seriously who else would get away with blasting the incumbent Australian hooker, fresh on arrival at their club, in front of everyone. Benji completely did……and I’m guessing the feeling from Benji is mutual toward Richo ..the timing for Benji to have someone of Richo’s caliber and league nous to oversea his transition is perfect …but there’s no way Benji would let Richo overrule him where his hunches for what he wants done and who he wants are strong. I don’t think that’ll happen or has happend either. Richo is too clever for that .. If he did I think Benji would prob walk

Im not even going to attempt any predictions , once apon a time i really had my finger on the pulse and had a feeling about weekly games and how they would perform but in the last 5 or so years i may as well toss a coin to try predict what will happen . I must say that usually the more excited i am about an upcoming season it normally equates to another stinker of a year. Im sorry but im kinda excited this year 🙄

I am starting to get excited by you Tigers this year. Im a Warriors fan but live in the South-West, so to see you guys going good this year will be awesome, especially with more games at C-town stadium.

Shane Richardson probably the best signing you guys have made since Benji as a schoolboy.
