Season Predictions....

With the new season almost upon us, who is everyone picking to win the major euro leagues? I'd back:

Germany:
My favourite league, and the hardest to pick out of the lot.

Bayern Munich will start favourites, but will be pushed every step of the way by both Werder Bremen and HSV. They've picked up Podolski, but will sorely miss Ballack and havent replaced him. Bastian Schweinsteiger will need to have a big, big year for the men from Munich.

England:
Pretty hard to go past Chelsea, again given their depth. I think Liverpool and Arsenal will be their closer rivals. Man U will miss Ruud's goals. Wouldnt surprise to see Newcastle, if they can pick up some strikers push for fourth.

Italy:
My first thought is.....who cares! Probably back Roma if I had to put money on it.

Spain:
Real v Barca. I think with the new manager and some of the signings, their may be more backbone to Real this year and I'd back them. Should be very, very interesting.

Newcastle should be desperate for a striker, going into a season with Shola Ameobi as your only fit striker with premiership experience is a bad thing. Oh, and Manchester City to make Europe!

EPL
Winner: Chelsea too hard too beat ,have bought well the season is over before it even begins
others:
Liverpool - chelsea biggest threat but they have too start winning games early cause last year they just couldnt win

Man United - alot will depend on what happens behind the scenes if Ronaldo and Rooney contiue too cause trouble than they may finish mid table at best

Blackburn - yes they lost Bellamy but i still think they are a force

Everton - i think this is the year Tim Cahill steps up after a great world cup for aus

If Liverpool can sign a striker, Central Midfielder to replace Didi and a right back then we'll be in with a chance to topple Chelsea. However I think we'll only sign annother striker hopefully Kuyt. However I think Rafa has done a tremendous job with our signings given the fact we don't have the resources of Chelsea. We managed to sign Sissoko and Alonso combined for less than what Man U payed for Carrick. I've got a feeling Chelski will win both England Europe with Liverpool winning the FA Cup and League Cup. Liverpool will have a realistic shot in a year or two when the Chelski cookie crumbles, just as Barca did with Real in Spain hopefully.

Finnan was one of our best last year! we dont need a RB!

Hamann bearly figured in the premiership last year anyway so he is no lost, if we get Kuyt we should be sweet.

The facts are that If we want to beat Chelsea we need to have enough quality players to field two top class sides, we're close but not quite there yet (as much as I hate to say it).
