So deaths have to be as bad (or nearly as bad) as April (when treatment for this particular virus was far less effective and which came on the back of many infections occuring prior to the introduction of any major public health regulations) for this to still be a pandemic? Seems to be a curious and 'novel' way to define the condition. And we are comparing this year's stats, which have occured despite a series of major public health interventions (albeit poorly implemented), to prior years in which this did not occur. Even still, today's attributed deaths were 1,820........
Antilockdown poster boys Sweden are failing to stop the flood. Last time I looked was December and they had 7,000 deaths. They are now sitting at 10,500 deaths and are adding to that tally at about 900 per week. @hindy111 will be able to offer a more knowledgeable comment I’m sure. At that death rate, our current tally of 900 would be 25,000.

Except once his 3hrs was done he would be given other job and would be there closer to 4hrs. He also wasn't getting paid super. As soon as his father asked the question his shifts stopped. This shit goes on at plenty small franchises. Also happend at the local Michelle's Cafe. Lovely girl was working there but once turned 18 and he min wage had to go up she was told either your sacked or can stay but on same pay. The extra $2hr wasn't an option. She needed the job so stayed. Its quite pathetic but plenty of young workers are used and abused like this whilst to young to know any better.
I have worked with so many different people that get rorted out of entitlements etc. Some people are just too soft to speak up. I’ve had many run ins with people trying to screw me out of Sick leave, PH rates etc. Wankers.
No. I don't think it's clear yet. And apart from not killing people with ventilators, I don't know treatment now is more effective. Nor is it certain that the major health regulations and interventions do much at all. I would have much more faith in what they are telling us if they hadn't done things like lied about masks, or embraced proven treatments like vitamin D and ivermectin. And I haven't heard from any expert that viruses have second waves. Those that claim that point to the Spanish flu, but most experts seem to think that was a different virus. Yet in this case we had authorities predicting a second wave based on nothing it seems. And I saw the latest graph for other respiratory infections and they have absolutely nosedived, everything is Covid now. So it might turn out that they were right and it's still (or again) a pandemic, or it might turn out closer to 2017/18.
