With all due respect, shits getting a tad paranoid when you don't trust a nurse to do a intramuscular injection properly.

Maybe you'll be more comfortable with a patch.

with all due respect - you have your head in the sand

I suppose it is ridiculous to think someone might have given people overdoses at the start too? Oh f**k me it actually happened!!

this isn't even ground breaking new info .... well qualified people have been saying its getting into blood streams and causing problems throughout the body for over a year .... just cos the people YOU choose to listen to don't give it air time doesn't make it untrue

dt stuffed dog is just identifying a potential way this could be playing out and that they might be able to take a simple precaution to limit it even further ..... he tried to tell his MP and got poo-pooed by someone with no f**kin clue ... why? why wouldn't they take him seriously?

this is the typical situation we are living in ..... someone well qualified says something might be a problem - instantly its just discredited as misinformation and lies, can't be happening, "science" says otherwise, etc etc

it sounds entirely plausible to me

"print" isn't profitable - hasn't been for the best part of a decade ...... but digital does OK nowdays - much due to switching focus to subscription models - yes people apparently will sign up and pay a small amount .... which I think is the model the entire world is now based on (entertainment streaming, etc) - people seem content to pay a little amount - though I am unsure if it dawns on them they are paying a little here and a little there and it all adds up to alot lol .... but anyway, don't underestimate the profit from digital sources

agree - its more than just profit - no doubt agendas at play ..... and I think its niave for anyone to think its just newscorp

Oh I don't underestimate how much digital is making, News Australia is profitable because of their real estate site for example. On the other hand, the subscription model for their papers, whilst generating plenty of income, isn't ( at this point ) profitable.

Duly noted. The skill lies in not ending up with anxiety over neutral risks.

you'd be surprised how well subscriptions have done during a pandemic .... which is probably a bit morbid

How stupid is the NSW Government!! Fancy announcing the 1st Dec as the date unvaxxed can do anything the vaxxed can. Firstly, anyone sitting on the fence will just hold off until then. Secondly, anyone who felt like shit after their first dose might just hold off until the 1st December, which could delay that 80% milestone. Finally, the 85% of us who have chosen to vaccinate did so to get us out of lockdown and to protect the community going forward, for a measly 6 week head start. I think we’ll struggle to reach that 90% double vax number now. Hang your head in shame Gladys.

Are you sure ? What does "greater freedoms" mean ?

From 1 December further changes will be introduced including all venues moving to the 2sqm rule, masks will not be required indoors at offices, indoor pools and nightclubs can reopen, and unvaccinated people will have greater freedoms.

Brawls and chaos across Norway after every Covid restriction suddenly lifts

It was the freedom weekend Norway didn’t expect, and it led to mass brawls and violent chaos as overexcited crowds rushed out to celebrate.

Police in Norway say they responded to dozens of mass brawls and other violent clashes and disturbances as the country celebrated its first weekend of freedom from Covid-19 restrictions.

On Friday the Norwegian government took the nation’s 5.3 million people by surprise by abruptly announced the end of all remaining restrictions — including the closure of nightclubs, and social distancing and capacity rules for businesses — starting at 4pm on Saturday.

“It has been 561 days since we introduced the toughest measures in Norway in peacetime,” Prime Minister Erna Solberg told the nation at a press conference on Friday.

“Now the time has come to return to a normal daily life.”

Massive crowds of people celebrated their sudden freedoms on Saturday afternoon by packing streets, restaurants, bars and nightclubs across the country and well into the night.

But the overexcitement led to chaotic scenes in many cities, including the capital Oslo, where police reported at least 50 fights and disturbances on Saturday night as long queues gathered outside bars, restaurants and nightclubs on their first night of trading.

There were reports of people fainting while waiting to get into pubs in the central city of Trondheim, while unrest was also reported in Bergen.

In Oslo, police also responded to reports a man was carrying a machete on a bus.

Police spokesman Rune Hekkelstrand said police were dealing with a “significantly greater workload” on Saturday than they had experienced over the summer, as celebrations began in the afternoon and well into the night.

Many have blamed the carnage on the Norwegian government’s abrupt lifting of restrictions, which few in the country saw coming.

“That’s exactly what I predicted would happen,” Oslo nightclub manager Johan Hoeeg Haanes was reported by the Associated Press as telling Norwegian newspaper VG.

“It was a life-threatening situation in the city because they (government) didn’t give us at least a few days advance notice. This was a dangerous situation, as police said all places were packed.”

But outgoing Ms Solberg defended the government’s decision, saying it was supported by the country’s health experts.

“We shall not have strict measures unless they are professionally justified,” she told VG on Saturday.

“People must be allowed to live as they wish.”

More than 76 per cent of Norwegians have received their first Covid-19 vaccine dose and close to 70 per cent of the country is fully vaccinated, according to official figures reported by AP.

People in Norway are not required to show their vaccination status or produce a negative Covid-result before entering venues such as nightclubs.

As part of the country’s reopening, people are no longer advised against travelling to elsewhere in Europe, and culture and sports venues can return to full capacity.

However, the government continues to urge Norwegians to be vaccinated, with Ms Solberg warning Covid-19 was not gone.

“Even though everyday life is now back to normal for most people, the pandemic is not over,” she said in her press conference on Friday.

“People will still get sick and, therefore, it is important that everyone gets vaccinated.”

And what business in their right mind is gonna enforce shit for the sake of six weeks.

Pubs and clubs likely will on account of they'll be heavily policed, but I can't see others bothering with it.

I don't really think that there will be a great number of 1st dose vaxxed that will not get the second dose.

Incentive to get vaxxed ? Possibly the amount of disproportionate unvaxxed hospital statistics released like in the states now ?

I’m not so sure. There’d be a considerable cohort who got the jab for the sole reason of getting out of lockdown and going to the pub. If they’re going to be able to do that anyway in 6 weeks then I’m not sure they’ll bother if they weren’t particularly sold on getting the jab in the first place.

I’m certainly not a Dan Andrews fan, but this is a common sense approach (in response to a question about our road map):

“We have made no decision on how long the vaccinated economy will open for. I am not about giving people reasons to delay. I am about having truthfully, factually, logically a sense of urgency. Going and get vaccinated right now. There is plenty of supply," he said.

"Please go and get your first dose and then your second dose, be part of the 70 per cent and the 80 per cent. And then we can be free and open. I am not ruling it out but I am also not signalling that people can wait another month."

So December 1 is Equality Day in NSW, when all citizens are treated equally regardless of their personal health decisions.

That is good news and is the only really important date that was announced.
