SEcond Half Fadeouts

What is it with our 2nd Half fade outs? against the Roosters one Intercept try, then against the raiders one second half try to Lawrence, then nothing against the Dragons. I have read quite a few times on the forum about the input Steve Folkes has had with our conditioning this season but 2 tries in 140 minutes [second half] has me wondering weather we were over worked and running on empty.

Good points Holman, i would have thought we were fitter than any other side but it seemed otherwise. One thing i can say tho is we defended and moved up 100 mile an hour in the first halves and also we were without a good share of posession which both would have taken there toll, also we were using the stupid 16 player bench and a 2 minute winger.

Bingo. 15 men through the first 60 odd minutes, followed by a 10-15 minute spell for the third forward on the bench and a cameo of the bench utility of 3-7 minutes, depending on the state of the game. We're the only side that names 17 players but regularly only plays 16 (or 15.5).

I am positive this factors into other teams' game plans, it's common knowledge how we use our bench but with Simmons gone next year hopefully it will change.

We have used the same policey in relation to interchanges ever since 2004 or 2005.....

will be interesting to see what happens with the australian interchanges during the 4 nations. If they keep making similar interchange time and possitions throughout the tournament, dont expect our policey to change next season

Bit harsh - we won a lot of games at the back end during the regular season.
Half our team were carrying injuries during the finals, so there were a whole lot of other factors at play.

Every team carries injuries at this time of the year so that is no excuse, as I said 2 tries in 140 minutes maybe over trained.

Then even more reason for us to use our full complement of reserves.
