Last weeks winner Ali N hassaid little since winning last week's 'pick the margins'.
The prize, 24 hours of free drinks in the Firkin Fun Bar was well received and the word is she was the life of the party.

This week, it's a little easier with only two matches to look at:

St George v Brisbane
Cronulla v Canterbury

The rules are simple (sort of):
1 point for beinghaving the closest margin.
a bonus 2 points for being spot on with the margin.
a bonus 2 points for picking 2 winners regardless of the margin.

My tips:

St George v Brisbane Saints by 30
Cronulla v Canterbury Canterbury by 2

What's your tips?

ok folks this is how the matches will unfold-

broncos will hang in thereby the skin of there teeth for 65 minutes until the saints self destructbecause ofmissed opportunities, broncos will cross for somelatetries to run out 14 point winners.

sharks will show the dogs what a valuable asset attacking football can produce, the dogs will just sit back and watch the precession, sharks by 28.

my shout in the bar next week, remember you heard it here first.

Saints have to be favorites, although they haven't the ammo to win the comp. Barrat's superior work around the halves will do the job for them. Saints by 8

The Bulldogs will be weakened by the loss of Anasta. I believe the Sharks must be favorites, but remember who has been the better side all year. Sherwin can play a mean 5/8 game if neded to. Dogs by 6

Great to see footy discussion coming back.

Dragons v Broncos:

The Dragons were extremely lucky against the Dogs last week and the Broncos were destroyed. Still, if the Drageers play with the heart they did last week, they'll blow the Broncos off the Moore Park complex.
Dragons by 6.

Bulldogs v Cronulla:

The Dogs will be under enormous presure without Anasta and possibly Britt but that's life. The Sharks will be on a natural high after Dally M night but the Dogs will grind a win out of them.
Bulldogs by 12.

I don't how accurate I can try to be....

Gosh mate, you have to admit that we've heard that theory plenty of times this year

Saints are only 2 games away from a grand final berth and just 3 games away from being premiers...

Crushing the losers this weekend will be great to watch....

St George v Brisbane - I think the Broncos are going to come out this week and show themselves and their supporters that they are far from being finished yet. The Broncos backs, playing at their best, are too fast and strong for the Dragons. The forwards of both teams, playing at their best, are a pretty even match. I think the Dragons will be tired and exhausted from last weeks game against the Bulldogs, and it will show midway through the second half at the earliest. I'm going to go out on a limb here and pick the Broncos to run away with it in the second half and win by 16

Cronulla v Canterbury - The loss of Braith Anasta could prove costly for the Bulldogs, along with captain Britt (possibly),but their youth and depth in the team is, and has proven throughout this year, to be one of the very best in the league. The Sharks were impressive last week, but I have serious question marks over their Finals performances, or their ability to, in light of recent years showings in this part of the competition. The Bulldogs will also be tired and exhausted after last weeks gruelling game with the Dragons, but coupled with their finals tenacity and spirit, along with the teams serious apprach for a title this year and their fitness, the Bulldogs will win by 8. Plus, I can't and never will tip against my Bulldogs.

I wish all four teams an injury free game, and may the best team on the day be the winners. I'm very much looking forward to this weekend's games, to get my mind off the recent tragedy in NYC and Wash DC.

I urge all Bulldog fans to behave like civilized human beings on the weekend as the NRL and Sydney media are looking at us so very carefully. We also need to show that we don't condone or support the events that took place recently. I certainly don't.

Still lurking in the reservoir's ..Dog.

Dog: I think thats born out of a universal hatred of Cronulla rather than sound tipster knowledge.
