Semi Radradra: "I would love to play with Fiji"

He was painted as money hungry when he switched allegiances to represent the Kangaroos, but Semi Radradra wants to delay his exit to French rugby once the NRL season is finished after declaring himself available for Fiji in the World Cup.

The controversial Eels winger revealed he wanted to play for his homeland in the end-of-season tournament, sparking a remote chance the cult hero and ex-Parramatta flyer Jarryd Hayne may finally unite.

Bati coach Mick Potter only this month said he would more than likely not consider Radradra for the mid-season Test against the Cook Islands given he wouldn't be around for the World Cup.

But Radradra, who said he hadn't spoke with either Potter or his family yet about his ambitions with the Bati, said on Wednesday he wanted to throw his hat in the ring for the World Cup.

With Semi Fiji already have a stronger team than England
I think with the new eligibility rule the island teams will be teams to watch... They probably have a chance to upset England or kiwis... Aussie team is a different story they're just too strong

Yeh this has to be a million to 1, can't see his RU club agreeing to it.

While it might be unlikely the new rules as said before does mean that there could be some upsets in the world cup. Because of these rules it's quite conceivable that NZ and/or Eng could get knocked out in quarters. I cannot wait for this world cup. It is quite possible with the right upset at the right time (knockout stage) that the final has a PI nation.

while it might be a nice fairytale - if nz/eng missed out in the quarters & a few islands teams made the semis.

The reality would be they would meet Australia in the final & get a cricket score posted on them.

There's doubting aus will win the world cup no matter who they faced but they won't beat the islanders by a cricket score like they did in the past... I think Samoa proved that in the last four nation they did pretty well against aus and it was the closest they ever got to them... And they didn't have milford with them at the time... Doubt they would've won with him there but it definitely would've kept the game interesting... There's no doubt Samoa would've beaten kiwis and England that four nation if they had milford.... Samoa Tonga and fiji are the dark horses of this world cup whoever's got them in the finals are in for a match... And kiwis will be going through to the quarters with a few sore bodies

Hold on, Milford is a decent player, but I think the pedestal you put him on is way to high there.

He would've made a big difference for Samoa in those two matches... Samoa lacked direction and last tackle play in those two games and milford would've definitely made a lot better decision then Ben Roberts did that tournament... Ben Roberts was shocking a few times that tournament... And yes I do rate milford up there... He just needs consistency in he's game... He's still young tho

In NRL land people who hate the sport make its rules and the definition of a "visionary" leader is one who does nothing to grow the game. So it's no shock they write stories about player eligibility without knowing who the player is eligible for.

I hereby announce the formation of the "eligibility militia" and members are charged with the destruction of bullshit reports that falsely claim players for nations they are not eligible for...

Lol seriously though we have to highlight and correct these morons
