Seven Hills JRLFC has merged Blacktown City Demons soccer club to form the Seven Hills Demons RL. The Demons have appointed Tim O'Brien as coach and will enter the Parramatta Cup in 2004. O'Brien coached St Marys to the 2001 Metropolitan Cup title.

In 2005 the Demons will move to Toongabbie Stadium which has a grandstand of similar proprtions to St Marys Stadium and in the longer term aims to join the Jim Beam Cup.

Austadiums don't have it. I've seen it driving past and I've been to State League Soccer matches there. An impressive ground.

There was a photo of it on page 84 of the Parramatta Sun for 28 january.
The stand has predominately red seats with blue seats in position to spell DEMONS.

They will be entered in the Illawarra League 7s as well, which will be a great chance to measure themselves against other strong teams. They sound very proactive.

The February issue of Rugby League Review details another joint venture involving a soccer club. The Italian RL is in discussions with Marconi about entering a team in the Parramatta Cup. The team would play on the club's No 2 ground and would also be aiming to follow the pathway to the Jim Beam Cup.
