Yap, there are too many people who don't know their own players until they hit first grade, I remember when SBW was a name to foloow well before playing first garde. Hoffman was a talented young player and is taking his chances as he matures.

Tell me about it. I was telling my Bulldog supporting in-laws about this awesome kid Williams they had in Flegg early in 03. Said watch out for this bloke, he's going to be a dead set superstar. I even took him to watch Wests and the Dogs in First Div at Belmore to show him. Bad move though - Hutch, Roy and Sonny smashed us. . I can still see big Cashy getting crunched by Hutch

F'ing Steve Lavers, we could have had Maiava for a hamburger after each match.

i dont think shannon is a very good player

hes decent, but not better than brett hodgson, they should move him to the wing and keep the tried and tested, otherwise its a case of 'dont know what you got till it gone'

this board places way too much emphasis on young players coming through, the best teams utilize there oldies, age is of no concern unless its a 50/50 shot, then in that case you will go the young devil

when i cracked the indian rugby league team, we had a player who was 42 years old, and he handled it well

Well when you consider how old Shannon is he's not a very good player, he's damn great for his age if anything. Yappy, mentioned earlier about first grade in 2006, i'd agree, if his form holds , he wont be held back.
