There will be plenty of players off contract end of 2012 our club and others, as this is also when new TV deal is dues, and potential expansion 2013, our club needs to be switched on and sign those players they want retained asap, no mucking around this time

Sorry to play spot the obvious, but cant any player start negotiating at the start of next season if they are off contract?

coukldn't give a f**k about other players. I'm just talking about the youth we have that should be signed long term. In fact they can negotiating elsewhere as of today in reality. 1 year contracts means the managers are going full tilt trying to find longer terms.

There are rumours going around in the UK that Ben Pomeroy is out of contract at the end of the season and could be heading to ESL in 2012. Any sustance in this speculation and would he be a good signing?

It's possible, I heard somewhere he is being shopped around. We don't have any notible replacements (Centres) signed, although rumours are we have signed Linett from the Rooters.(sp?)

Yeah Cools, that was in a thread from a few weeks back. It was heard in the Late Mail on "The Game Plan" on One. They also said that Toops was being shopped around as well.

Yes he would be a hit in the ESL definately.

He's a great player but has a few glitches in his game, he's not that far off SOO standard though. Big hard running center with great defense but he has a history of slippery hands and some general dumb things that make some supporters crazy.. Like my mate Imasharkie there. It's understandable I guess.
