Well, so far Nigel has been very impressive with speed & 5/8 ability. Two small defensive probs but otherwise much better than his club performances.
Kimmorley has been very, very average. Missing tackles everywhere, poor kicks & putting too much pressure on his team mates.

Who would kick to Meli!!! FFS!!!!!

Bailey not much yet.

Bailey going well but not getting much ball.
BK can put his hand up as being responsible for the Kiwis last two tries.
His attempts(or lack of) were nothing short of embarrassing.

Note to Brett:
This is the Australian team. You cannot dictate to these blokes & pick & choose who you tackle. You must tackle everything in front of you regardless of how big they are.
If you are having problems with technique, which you obviously are, drop this guy a line, he might offer some pointers.

In all fairness, most of the Australian players have played very, very averagely.

Well, Vagana might have shown himself as an option as Cronulla five eighth after that effort. Very, very dangerous in attack, and was always there to back up and offload in a tackle. Also looked the goods when he was at fullback...

Bailey, well he barely saw the ball, although I remember he got done for being blatantly offside.

Noddy was a major disappointment. Hard to justify keeping him in front of Gower in the games against Britain, especially since Gower actually looked to have some good spark when he very rarely touched the ball.

Way to go Ando ya Jerk, any chance of picking the correct players next test???

Bailey wasnt too bad he did try hard.

Kimmorley looked like he belonged back in Maitland playing 3rd grade, which everone knew he would !!.

$10 bucks say's the little grub keeps his spot.

Gower is a must for the three tests against the poms, Kimmorley doesnt deserve another go!!!.

Well done Nigel. Quite possibly the best game I have ever seen him play.
Toopi has a few thankyous to throw his way.
I think I will have to take back my opinion of him not being creative. He was superb in supplying Toopi what he(Vagana) normally receives.

Bring on the new Sharkies 5/8!!!

Something strange I noticed was Kimmorley blasting the players after NZ's second try I think...while Lockyer stood there tight-lipped. Being the coaches butt buddy, getting selection ahead of Gower AND blasting the other players isn't really helping his relationships with the other Australian players.

At least we know Kimmorley is behind Anderson all the way if ya know what I mean...

Crude, Max.

I'd assume that Kimmorley will keep his Australian spot for the duration of the tour. His kicks were OK but bounced off a lot of players when he'd try to tackle them.

Bailey was OK but I cant believe he's in the top 17 players, I cant help but wonder if Anderson is using him as a bargaining chip in his battle with the Sharks board.

Vagana was outstanding, he could be our 5/8 next year, considering we dont have any other good options and we're OK for outside backs.

And blacktip, lets move on from the Noddy/Preston issue. Who gives a toss.

Wow.. is this a first? Blacktip being.. dare I say it.. positive?!?

Gotta say Blacktip, I agree with you 100%. Dont know if Nige will be at five eighth next season, but he showed this afternoon that the job wouldn't be beyond him if he needed to fill in there.

Does anyone know where anyone will be???!!!!! Top to bottom!!!

But think about it, he's 28, will get slower, shows he has got the ability, skill & creativity......give him the spot straight away & he can " Fittler" his way into retirement.
Heaps of centres available & even average centres can look good outside a good 5/8.
This is a real bonus & opportunity that Daniel Anderson has kindly shown the Sharks.

You've shocked me griefer.....all this positive stuff cant be good for your blood pressure

I always laughed off the prospect of playing vag at 5/8! But he showed he's more than capable, bring it on! Atleast his front on defence is OK!

Yep & we will need someone there to compensate for Kimmorley's appauling defense.
I just can't believe a player of his supposed calibre & status can just wait for other players to make tackles.
& when he does make one, it's around the neck.

Vagana was awesome. If Peach goes down we might look at 1 - Vagana, 3 - Franze and 4 - Bailey. Also Vagana could go to fullback when he starts to slow down maybe.

Very great game he had. Bloody heel you gotta feel for Bailey. He was over twice if Lockyer passed.
