Id just like to know what people think sharks will go in the world sevens

I think they will be one of the top teams because they have major pace in riek, vagana, merrit. Kimmorley is pretty fast and so is franze.

I think they will place around 2nd-4th

what about u guys

It just shows you how different World Sevens is to real rugby league! And didn't we get bundled out by Souths in the quarter-final? :?

I actually know how to win the 7's, & I am not joking.

Go out to the sticks, Boggabilla, go the post office, & ask where do I find Mr Mcgrady.
Go to that address, round up everyone with the surname "Mgrady, sign them to a profit sharing 1 month contract & play all of them for Cronulla.

I saw Ewen score over 40 tries in 2 days when he & his family beat the best the ARL had to offer back in late 80's.
One of them was like 14 & playing against the likes of Rambo, Teasdell etc. etc.
They won the final by about 40 points.
All tries scored by Ewen & Jason.

I reckon Sully's speed and elusive skills will be very handy for us at the Sevens. :)

I'm going this year. We should use Sully rather than Noddy because 1 we don't want Noddy hurt and 2 Sully is really hyper.

I reckon we should give Newton a run in the 7s so so we can see him smash the little blokes

i went to the 7's last year, it was a really good (but looong) day
yeah we got beat after the bell vs souths (joven clarke actually did something)
what pissed me off was we beat Canterbury & NthQld in our pools to be in the major comp and they went on to win the 2nd & 3rd comps and we came away with nothing, id rather have some kind of trophy like them

I thought England and Parra showed the way by having big, quick mobile men to complement the little guys. So I think we'll go well as the likes of upper comers Simmons and Aitken who both have brilliant footwork, should be more suited to sevens at this stage than 13's.

Backs;
Kimmorley,
Peachey,
Merritt,
Vagana,
Aitken,
Simmons / Reick depending on Simmos shoulder reco.

Forwards:
Franze, (Utility)
Bailey,
Bird,
Hilder

I'll pretty much guarantee, Peach, Franze, & Kimmorley or Vagana will play.

Peach, really... i thought he didnt play last year cause 7s would be too much strain on his hammies, i know this is 04, but i thought it still be the case

Sevens is for zippers and artful dodgers. Doesn't mean a thing to try to compare with the real thing. Naturally I'd love to see the Sharks win it but I probably won't be going. As said by others, Mickey Mouse Comps don't mean a thing. We currently hold the Amco Cup. That's great, but who really gives a stuff? The NRL Premiership trophy is the only one that counts. At least that's what a few Panther supporting mates keep telling me.

I think we should send rookies with a few more experienced guys. Give Aitken, Simmons, Sullivan et all a run, perhaps even Ciraldo and chuck in Bailey because he's probably our quickest big guy.

I'll definitely be going, but not because I really care whether Cronulla wins it or not. I'd love to see them win, but the reason I'll be there is for the atmosphere. Last year it was such a fun weekend - me and my mates started the standing ovation for the Russians and there were so many other hilarious things going on in the crowd. Half the fun is what's going on around you and not on the field..
