Thank god for that - that would have been a huge downgrade.

He's one of those workhorse players who's no frills and a good defender. Should really be a back row but isn't big or fast enough, decent hands but not quick or skillful enough for halves, so they stuck him at 9. Does an ok job, but is far from a leading, organising, creative player.
