New Coach Stuart Raper will take his Cronulla Sharks NRL squad to the people when he holds a training session at Como next Monday.

The complete 2004 roster including Kangaroo tourists, Brett Kimmorley and Phil Bailey, star fullback David Peachey and recruits Andrew Lomu, Nigel Vagana and Nathan Merritt will be put through their paces at Skylla Bay Oval, Como from 1.30pm.

There will be a ballwork and skills session followed by the players distributing posters, signing autographs and mingling with fans at about 3pm. They will then head to the Como Hotel for a barbecue, to which everyone is invited.

I hope there would be alot more of these as it's a good idea marketing wise and we should be aiming for a 15,000 average this year.

Como Hotel, now there's a good pub. Sit out on the balcony over looking the oval on a warm summer arvo, with a nice cold schooey in the hand watching the Sharks train.

Almost worth taking a sickie for, or at least a 1/2 day.
