well we have been settling bird as a center for yonks and half a season for holmes at fb

holmes is safe enough under kicks and in defence
he also has a good swerve and acceleration though only over a short distance

he gets the timing right when he backs up through the middle and he becomes a major weapon
he is young and he will improve
comparing him to barba is a little unfair

With Brown as hooker they are gone against this mob. Just hope some players have a f**king go

Val will get plenty of chances to shine v Chooks.....dozens of Mitch Piss midfield bombs coming his way....as for Bird....been even more underwhelming that Holmes imo....will want to get his shit together before he heads to the Donkeys or it will end in tears up there for sure..

Holmes has done nothing to prove hilmself in half a season

I think that's why Dugan is the man in waiting 2018 for F/B.

Holmes is a finisher and yes makes ground in the open but generally is not a line breaker unless he has space ,wing is his possie. He tries to take the defence head on, and comes off second best.

Barba could penetrate tight defences,OK he's not there so Duges with tattoos attached and his penetrative abilities is the man FWIW.

I agreee with him. By the time he came on the team had crawled under a rock. Waste of time.
Nah.....Bird was fresh as a daisy and had 20 minutes to make an impact from the bench....,,offered nothing as usual. Bit like on Sunday v Manly (fresh from 20 mins of zilch in origin)......if he didn't drop those balls you wouldn't have known he played.

I'd stick Beale back to centre, give Lee another fling and stick Bird as the 14. Bring him on for Gallen after 25mins and play him old school roaming playmaking lock. Lord knows we need to try something after last week's dismal effort.

Fix the attitude and the wins will come.

Go back to bashing blokes. That's our caper. Bash the other forwards and the holes in the middle will open up

One word "Intensity"

It's not there at the moment and especially in the 1st Half of games.

In other words, Prior needs to find his mojo.

I know most of the forum loves Heighno, but we need a big bopper on the bench. 4 second-rowers is not going to do the job.

Yes he did. I saw him crab half way across the field and get tackled.
