If they beat Melbourne (home) and Cowboys (away) they will probably still make it. But they have made it alot tougher for themselves.

No doubt about that. But hopefully teams like Knights, Cowboys, Raiders and Sharks loss matches they are expected to win like tonight and loss to teams they are expected to loss to. but we will still have to win 2 out of three against Broncos (away), cowboys (home) and knights (away). If we can cause an upset next week after the bye against the Broncos things are looking good. Hopefully the cowboys, knights and raiders all loss this weekend. That will have us in 7th. But its a long shot

i dont think it really matters if the Cowboys won tonight, it should all come down to out round 25 clash.

They took longer then expected to put away souths though.

What is "loss" all about? What is wrong with the word "lose"?

Cronulla reallyu don't deserve to be there after that tripe. There ball control was nearly as bad as the Roosters the week before. They had it all to play for and Parra had not a lot to play for. Beware of Parra they are really the only club that have nothing to play for. They are not going to make the 8 and they are not involved in the spoon race. There were 11 vying for the top 8 and 3 the spoon this weekend.

Does that mean that the roosters don't deserve to be there after the "tripe" they dished up last week?

Cronulla got themselves into a position to make the 8 and had destiny in there own hands. It was a game they should have won to try and cement a position in the 8 and they produced that performance.

Now as for the Roosters they like Cronulla (with a top 8 spot) put themselves in a position to win the minor premiership and then produced that tripe last week. But the thing is they unlike Cronulla had cemented a top 8 birth. But it could cost the Roosters the minor premiership and if so they get there just desserts for it.
