Not sure these Gabba green tops combined with the dukes are doing any young players development any favours. Late 90’s and early 2000’s shield pitches were highways and produced good batsmen because the good batsmen batted for days. At the same time the good bowlers became good because they had to find ways to get wickets.

Getting out 5th ball to a ball that pitches on leg and seams back and hits the top of off helps no one.
