Finally got a partnership going 3/180, still in trouble if one of these two get out.

Hughes 94, Smith 51

I just love it when the young guns perform.. Hughes and Smith are part of a bright future for Australia IMO.

God NSW are useless...
We'll win it next year.

Guys like Kawaja, Smith, Starc, Copeland, and Hazelwood will be that much more experienced and consistent. Hughes will fire I reckon and Jaques will be his usual dependable self. So long as we don't have too many injuries or call ups we'll have a formidable line up.

Ronnie gets Hughes caught behind for 149. Lets hope Hughes is back.

Great partnership, but still lots of work to do to hang on here for the Blues.

It's great to see Phil get plenty of runs and lets hope it's the start of his comeback to the best team. Though in saying that he probably should've got a ton given he was facing a very average Victorian attack. A bloke of his talent did exactly what he should've done. As someone said earlier Victoria's bowlers aren't that much better than ours but they have made it look like they are miles better.

Dam Hughes out just before stumps on 149. Tried to play his square cut shot but edges it straight to the keeper with McDonald taking the wicket.

Bad catching is bad cricket.

Hughes dropped on 0 and 50-ish

Smith dropped on 29, a soda skied to Rogers.

Hopefully we chase nothing over 200 and have at least 50 overs to get them.

The key difference is the experience levels between the two attacks, the Victorians are full of experienced first class cricket, wheras apart from Jaques, Kat and Thornely we are a side finding its feet in the FC scene. We'll be better for it next season

Won't be enough to save us though unless the quicks can hang around for a few hours.

195 in two sessions for Victorian victory.

Let's hope they approach the chase like Pakistan

39 overs bowled to NSW today, last wicket fell at lunch so none lost for change over.

Normally there's 96 overs in a day but they started 30mins early today to make up time.

VIC require 195 off at least 57 overs.

khawaja was a huge loss, he was in such teriffic form, having to fallback onto thornley, is not the player he was, and next season will most likely miss steve smith who should be in the oz team by then.
