I don't want to sound like a bad sport but who thinks it is unfair than Brisbane get too play every Friday night for the first 12 rnds?

They are able to have the same schedule for training each week and get into a routine.Also able to play in similar conditions (night footy)

You can sit back and say well we are professional and it should not matter but I cant agree. They have a perfect routine each week. So there preparation for every game is perfect.

They go into every game with a slight edge on most teams because of this.And are never flat. Cause the know Friday night is game day.

Nrl needs to scrap Monday night footy for this reason. And bring in a Sunday night game! Year after year there has always been stats where teams after a Monday night are flat. Get rid of it

We have 2 five day turn arounds, one just went by, the next is sharks may 12th and then dragons may 17th. After that we are sweet when many other teams wont be

i don't think a 5 day turn around with the 2nd game in north queensland is good scheduling - you lose plenty of time travelling there

Its not just that.The players themselves have a life and family. How good would it be to know your free every sunday?

The draw is f**ked and it isn't fair. Everyone knows it. Play some teams twice and others once.
Nobody is going to fix it because they don't know how. It's a professional sport being run like an amateur one.

How much time do NQ lose traveling to away games every 2nd week?:

They also have 2 five day turnarounds

April 7th MONDAY Cowboys v Knights
April 12 SATURDAY Tigers v Cowboys

June 23 MONDAY v knights
June 28th SATURDAYv Souths

In football you have very small turnaround-Sometimes 3 days in games worth millions and millions of dollars.Going to different countries. But there playing a game which isn't quite as physical. So its more mental. Sure they can use there shoulders to keep a player off the ball.And they are shown a yellow card for diving.So in some ways its a tougher game but they are superior athletes and can cope with the higher demands and aren't being belted in every tackle.

It might not seem fair but every club knows exactly when they are playing for the first 20 rounds.

It gives each club more than enough time to prepare for short turn around weeks and travel.

Not sure when our players travelled up there but I think if they were up there any later than noon on Wednesday they made a mistake.

That's not great. It's a game we would possibly normally win but I'm not so sure if we only get a 5 game turnaround. If we dont I think we can blame the turnaround

In a tight competition some teams get a distinct advantage .Not sure how anyone think its fair. And there has always been trouble for teams playing Monday nights sine it started. I say scrap it.

The Brisbane draw is clearly unfair, but I guess the other teams get some benefit through its effect on the amount that the TV rights go for. Doesn't make it right though.


If we can improve our perpetration though it'll be Mitch.

Im pretty sure there is a direct syd-tvl flight on a thursday with virgin. It only takes 3 hours direct, add a bit more if you have to go via brisbane. If the club didnt take this option than they have rocks in their heads. But let's be honest, it's not like clubs (both us and the opposition coming up north) are travelling to London or New York........

I don't want to take win way from cowboys-There a better team and I still think a title treat. But I still think Brisbane are getting an advantage. Not on parra but all teams
