Siika Teaupa and Adam Wheeler

Both have signed with the Magpies. I know Wheeler seems to of been playing reserve grade for a few years now and still hasnt had a crack at top grade, and i also believe that siika was a prop who played in your jersey flegg team in 2002 and had a decent finals campaign, but havent heard much of him since.

Do any of you eels fans who follow your reserve graders know anything else about these players, if there's any potential there or any memorable moments that they have delivered...

Any help would be appreciated

Siika is a GUN! One of my favourite players.

All I'll say is not very happy that he won't be with us next year. His only real problem is his fitness

Siika did go missing this year, allthough I did see his name on the bench for Guildford a couple of times. I don't think he's the gun that HJ makes out he is.

Adam Wheeler is nothing but good honest toiler but will never make the big time. He's one of these players who seem to get a run in firsts 1 or 2 times a year mainly due to a high injury toll.

They are both awesome players!! Im really happy Siika has found a club, we were worried that he had given up or something.
Already promised wheels that im borrowing a wests jersey, some flannelette and going out ta Cambpelltown ta watch him play next year, the man is a gem!

get over it already... the only player in this list who has actually made it is Clinton, and he didn't really show that kind of potential when he was at Parra.

Anyway, you just can't keep every player that shows a hint of potential.

That's true, you do have every right to be disapointed with the club in terms of it letting those players go, but don't get too fired up. I think the point that eels2win may have been making to you is that there is ALOT of whinging and whining in these forums about the number of players that we let go over the years and that it wears a little thin after a while.

Its fact that we have to let some of these young kids go each year and as fans we definitely need to accept that sometimes with the aid of hindsight, it gets proven that mistakes are made. Noone was to know that Joel Clinton would come good and I think plenty of us are pretty fed up with being reminded that he used to be an Eel by every media outlet and disgruntled fans.

Siika is a similar player to Cannings who we paid 220k for.
Some say Siika has fitness problems well so does Cannings.
Siika is a destructive runner of the ball and will be a loss.

i could very well get over the fact that some players have gone. You cant hold onto every player in your ranks but when the club keeps on releasing talented Juniours then you really have to wonder. Especially when J Cayless and J Clinton are now representing their countries.

The club has handled things very poorly and i can understand that people are abit feed up hearing about it but the club continues to handle things poorly and i am very disapointed with the club and now some fans who don't care anymore.

The club DOES NOT lack talent identificatiobn (well, Crusher didn't). What they lack is knowing what to do with talent when they find it!
