Simmons Part II

Id just like to congratulate Dave Simmons on turning it around these past couple of weeks and making me eat my words a little.
My opinion after about a month to five weeks of him being in first grade was that he was not up to scratch for first grade and needed to go back to PL for some time.
Although Manly and Souths arent the best opposition he didnt put a foot wrong against both of them. I still believe he has a lot to learn if he is going to play on the wing and he still has to prove to me he can handle himself against the top ranked teams but am glad to see the progression he has made.
Maybe ET's involvement might be starting to pay off....

Yep, he has played well the last 2 games imo too. He looks much better under the high balls lately, after having some shockers against Souths earlier in the year and Roosters a few weeks ago

Franze is in reserve grade while Clowns like McGoldrick and Simmons are playing firsts

McGoldrick a clown? f**king hell. His a deadset gun! You have blokes like Peterson    McGoldrick is a keeper. Simmons is too.

Simmons has only had a handful of games on the wing so it is hard to adjust from fullback. His awesome under the high ball... I wish Noddy would kick to him rather than Merritt in attack because Simmons can take down a high ball.

Simmons pulled off a belter of a tackle last night to save a try. His a player of the future.. Hope injuries and other clubs don't come around

He still looks to be on the wrong side of the field.
But I suppose a good winger can play either.
There is a certain amount of clumsiness about him, but he is young.
I would persist.

It will be interesting to see how Simmons goes against the two Lukes in a few weeks. Actually Id rather not think about it.

Have you watched McGoldrick play?

He's learnt a thing or two down in divvy and he has been one of the most damaging players on the field for us in the past month.
