Why Sheens continues to play Dwyer essentially as a prop is beyond me. We've got the most talented running second-rower since Paul Sironen on our hands and he isn't allowed to run wide. It's Bronson Harrison all over again. I agree to stick him in a middle for a bit to toughen him up and get used to the pace of the game early in his career...but he's ready to be a devastating runner now with Heigno and Fulton playing even tighter..

..or he'll f**k off like Bronson did and flourish elsewhere playing his natural game.

Spot on, Dwyer should ALWAYS play as a wide running backrower.

Sheens is fascinated with playing backrowers as props, f**k it sh*ts me. Last week Dwyer spent 15-20 minutes at prop despite having Fifita, Woods and Payten on the bench. f**king idiot.

Couldn't agree more. In Ellis we have the best second rower in the world, Dwyer should be taking tips from him about running and angles. Sheens needs to let this guy loose and run him wide. We all say we have nothing on our right side...here is the answer my friends.

Given time I really believe Dwyer will be another representative player but for heavens sake, as a wide running second rower not a prop.

To be a bit fair, in rnd 1 we had Ellis, Heigno & Fulton all playing, all 80 min players & we had Gibbs out & I don't think Payten is fit, plus some new blood as well, so where else could he fit in? I thought he showed a lot of Sirro in rnd 2 with those runs out wide, he is certainly a talent. He is also a big bloke so a bit of running up the middle shouldn't hurt him to much.
So what is best possible pack inc bench we can muster (presume everyone is available)?

No excuse, Fulton or Heighington should have come off for 15-20 minutes or so.

Sure they can all play 80, but both Fulton and Heighington benefit from a rest IMO.

8. Gibbs
9. Farah
10. Galloway
11. Fulton
12. Ellis
13. Heighington

14. Moltzen
15. Dwyer
16. Fifita
17. Payten

If Dwyer wants to play first grade, he's got some work to do trying to oust players like Fulton, Heighington, Ellis, Gibbs, Galloway and Payten.

While I agree he should be in the back row, the problem is our depth in the front row, the quality in our back row and his ability cannot be questioned.

So he's naturally forced into the front row.

I don't mind him playing at prop, so long as Sheens doesn't try and increase his playing weight like he did with Harrison and Plum in his dopey attempt to transform those genuine back rowers into props, which they clearly aren't

The problem, as I see it, is the fact Fulton and Heighington are both 80 minute players. They bust their guts (no question) but they can't bust the opposition line. They back up OK but too often they are forced back by the opposition on a hit up. We need Dwyer on the field longer for his attacking ability so I think Fulton and Heighno need to be cycled more.

I remember seeing a coach stack a side with renowned defenders...and lose a Grand Final.
